Relaxing pics for Jake’s Challenge.

“Place to Relax” is this week’s theme for Jake’s Sunday Post. There are so many places one could relax in and some people have the ability to relax and even nod off, wherever they find themselves. My son is one of these lucky people, and after flying down from New Jersey to see us in Florida, with three demanding little ones, he just flopped down on the sofa and slept for about and hour.

My youngest granddaughterΒ  seems to take after her dad.

Riding on the back of her dad’s bike really tired her out.

Some people go to the beach to relax.

I wanted to relax on my favourite bench, but unfortunately this couple had the same idea.

Of course, my sister’s dog Dingo, spends most of his life relaxing. It’s a dogs life.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my relaxing pics, and didn’t nod off in the process. To see more interpretations of Jake’s theme, just click on his badge below.

We’re on our way up to Johannesburg to spend a week with our daughter and family. She has lots of outings and treats lined up for us, so I may not have much time to spend on the blogs, but I’ll pop in when I can. Have a relaxing weekend.

  1. It is amazing how easily little ones can drop off and stay that way, even while being moved and carried. How I’d love to sleep that soundly again! Traveling with 3 little ones by air? It’s a wonder your son made it to the sofa. πŸ™‚

  2. Hello AD, your blog had disappeared from my reader and when I checked I saw I was no longer following you … sorry, don’t know how that happened, I did not do it … but I have corrected things so I should not be missing out now πŸ™‚ Gorgeous photos of relaxation!

  3. What a great collection of utter relaxation….how wonderful to just let go and drift off into sleep like that. I’m not very good at sleeping in the daytime….unless I’ve had a glass of wine with my lunch….then it’s hard to keep me awake πŸ™‚
Loved your shot of the occupied bench…how annoying is that when someone else pinches your spot!

  4. I envy people that ability to just zonk out, Ad! I’m usually too hyper. Except when I’m relaxing, of course. Oops, just stopped myself sliding out of the armchair! πŸ™‚

    • Thanks so much, Maria. Glad you liked the photo of Dingo. He’s a really lovely dog with a very gentle nature. He’s a rescue dog, and we’re not sure what breed he is, but my sister called him ‘Dingo’, because he looks very like the Australian wild dogs, which are called Dingos. πŸ™‚

  6. Must be something in the water – great and fun shots … your son’s is priceless *laughing. I think a dog life with suit me well in my next life. *smile
