The weekend has just flown by in a flurry of treats and activities with our daughter and family. We’ve been eating out a lot, with all my favourites included: seafood, sushi, and pasta. Hubby tried Springbok steak for the first time, and said it was really good.
My favourite starter of the weekend, was Melanzane alla Parmigiana, which was absolutely mouthwatering.
On Saturday we went to Monte Casino to see ‘Le Cirque Eloize’ which was absolutely awesome. So many perfect bodies in one show! Yesterday morning, we rose up above the same complex in an anchored balloon, before going to the movies, to see the thriller, ‘Before I go to sleep’, starring Nicole Kidman. Lots of holes in the plot, but very gripping nevertheless.
The balloon experience wasn’t as exciting as actually going for a hot air balloon ride, but it did yield some great views. I don’t have time now to download all the photos, as I’m just about to help my daughter in the kitchen. She asked me what I would like for our final meal here, so I requested Pesto Chicken with Farfalle Pasta. We’re having Malva pudding with cream and custard for desert…..yum!
On the subject of pasta, here is postcard which she keeps in her kitchen. As someone who really dislikes going to the hairdressers, and who quite often suffers from bad hair days, it tickled my funny bone.
Wishing you all a great week. Tomorrow, I will be packing madly once again, and the next time you see me I will be in England with my 101-year-old MiL Wishing you all a great week. I can’t keep up with them either, Ad, and I’m stationary (for now!). Hurry- they’re having a mini heatwave down south. (just fog here 😦 )
It’s grey but very mild in London. I’m sure it will brighten up later. 🙂
Glad you’re safely arrived. Still gloomy here. 🙂

Welcome my friend…it is lovely to know you are so ‘close’…have a wonderful time 🙂 xx
I’m having trouble posting lately. Life seems to have turned quite busy (happily so). But thus I suspect I’m giving you a bit of a break with that many less posts to plow through. 🙄
No worries, Gunta. I’ve had to switch off my notifications, or I would end up with hundreds of emails by the time we get to Florida. xx ♥
Oh MY GOD! I had a really crappy dinner on account of rushing out to make a meeting and making sure my kids were fed before I was out the door. This looks amazing! I’m starving.
Balloon ride! I’m sure the views were more than great up there when you look back at the photos. Good food, great adventure 🙂
Happy travels!
Happy week ahead, Sylvia. 🙂
Yummy !!!
Joyful weekend you had. I am wondering what are in the “Melanzane alla Parmigiana”. The balloon ride sounds really good. I am looking forward to see those pictures taken from the high up.

Ooh that starter looks good. Aubergine? And Malva pudding – such a typical South African pudding. Enjoy!
Great synopsis of your week!!! 🙂
Thank you very much for sharing these ones with us.
Best wishes to you for the week ahead, Aquileana 😛
The balloon looks fun. We loved our hot air balloon experience. Happy day to you Sylvia!
