The most bizarre street artist I’ve ever seen, was standing on his head outside Harrods department store in Knightsbridge, London. Can you imagine the endurance it must take to stand upside down for hours on end, with one’s head jammed into a bucket?
He gave me the thumbs up, when I put some money in his hat.

A little bizar and I hink looking at thr hands..it is a woman
Yes, you’re right. ๐
OMG! ๐ ๐ Totally bunkers and great fun for the photographer.
Absolutely! It was a great photo opportunity.:)
Oh – my head hurts just thinking about that.
Hope he got some good tips.
Well, he got one from me. I also assumed it was a ‘he’, but I guess it could have been a ‘she’. Hard to tell. ๐
Awesome! Trying to catch up here after a week+ on the road. Then comes posting some of my adventures! ๐
Thanks, Gunta. Yes, I know all about trying to catch up. Sometimes it’s an impossibility, so I just delete and start afresh.
What would some do for a tip ๐ Unbelievable! Thank you for a fun post, Sylvia!
You’re welcome, Paula. Glad you enjoyed. ๐
They say standing on your head is good for circulation but for an hour. Bizarre !!!
๐ฎ
I’ve never tried it, Issy. ๐
How do you think she got thru customs?
๐ Now that’s a very good question.
Haha, that’s very special!
๐
Reblogged this on Eu Vivo a Melhor Idade and commented:
QUE DOIDEIRA MAS ADOREI!
Thanks for the reblog. ๐
some endurance feats are of a dubious nature, aren’t they!?
Now that’s truly eccentric… haha ๐ xx
That’s for sure, Sherri. ๐ xx
I hope he has a cushion in the bottom of his bucket. Have you any idea how long he stayed like that Sylvia?
I hope so too, Pauline. No, I have n idea how long he could hold that pose. I stood around for quite a while, hoping he might reveal himself, but he seemed quite happy to stay upside-down. ๐
Must be something to do with a bucket-head with the third eye on it ๐
๐ Yes, that eye was rather unnerving. ๐
Haha, yes that’s pretty bizarre.
Absolutely. ๐
Oh my word! Now that’s endurance for sure Sylvia! Excellent shot and post hon. ๐ โฅ Hugs โฅ
Yes it is. ๐ฏ Thanks, Sonel. *hugs*
The strange thing that people do to make you look and drop a dollar. But for sure that is endurance.
That’s a sure fire way to get a head rush ๐
You reckon? ๐
Ouch! Really a nice choice for this challenge, Sylvia.
Absolutely “Ouch”. Thanks, Stefano. ๐
Huh! Great example of endurance, Sylvia!
Thanks, Dana. ๐
Really unique ๐ atraction Sylvia,
Thanks, DellaAnna. ๐
Amazing! Hope he doesn’t get a headache.
Thanks, Hopestar. Yes, I would get a headache, just thinking about it. ๐
Get Guinness!
๐
Wow, that has got to hurt!
It has to. ๐ฆ
Wow, what a strange act to dream up! Love the one seeing eye on his bucket ๐
Very strange indeed, and I certainly wouldn’t dream of it myself. ๐
I feel a headache coming on just looking at him do this…man, that would be tough!!
~ Andrea โค
I agree with you, Andrea. He must be very tough indeed.
I hope there’s a hole in his bucket. .
Hehehe. Me too. ๐
I wonder what on earth this was for, a great way to raise funds, or a head in the bucket response to the Scottish referendum?
I really have no idea, but it’s certainly not an easy way to make a living. ๐
that’s for sure
Ok, that would send me into full scale running to get away. That is freaky.
Very freaky indeed. ๐ฏ
It gives me a headache just looking at him. Crazy. I hope he had a “Do not try this at home” warning somewhere near him.
Hahaha. Well, I wouldn’t dream of trying this myself. ๐
my like wouldn’t stay!
wow that is the most unusual i have ever seen!!!!
Thanks, Cindy. No worries about the like. They’re quite temperamental these days. ๐
That’s awesome!!!! Cheers to the performer and to you for capturing it.
Thanks so much, Frank. Glad you enjoyed. ๐
As soon as I saw the title of your post in my email, I immediately thought of the one I had seen outside Harrods. Then I opened your post and saw your photo!! He is definitely the oddest street performer I have ever seen! I was waiting to meet a friend when I saw him and i couldn’t work out how he managed to stay like that for so long.
So, he obviously made an impression on you too. ๐ He’s incredible.
I have never seen anything like that before – such a strange thing to do!
Good grief! Now that’s what I call endurance!
Absolutely, Dianne. ๐
Wow, amazing. I can’t imagine all that time upside down!
Thanks, Lisa. So happy i saw him. ๐
That’s crazy!
I agree. ๐
Bizarre is the word Sylvia.. Incredible. I’ve been trying to work out if this is some kind of trick but I can’t see it. Surely standing on one’s head like this can’t be good for you.. give you a helluva headache and very bloodshot eyes I’d imagine. ๐
I would imagine so, Adrian. I’m not going to try it to find out. ๐
That’s a great picture – you never know what you’re going to see!
Thanks, Meg. Yes, the unexpected often pops up when least expected. ๐
I’d agree with Gilly and Anna!
Me too. ๐
That does require some endurance. ๐ Thumbs up to him indeed. ๐
Thanks, Imelda. Definitely so. ๐
Crazy weird hey. I’ve always been torn between being impressed by street actors & shaking my head asking Why?
I’m inclined to agree with you, Anna. I was absolutely in awe of this one, though. ๐
Mine are too. That doesn’t seem like it would be very good for anyone for a long period of time. Very Bizarre. Great post title, BTW ๐
Bonkers!
That is a bit bizarre…
Just a little. ๐
My thumbs are up for him too!
