It was such a treat to see all the beautiful fall colours of the leaves in New Jersey. We don’t get such luxury down in Florida. I didn’t have time to go out taking photos, but snapped this one as we passed by. It sort of matches the pumpkins in my last post. I’m just about to board my flight back to 80F, so fall foliage will be a thing of the past.Β We had a great few days with the family.

What a beauty, Sylvia! I miss he changing leave in the fall here in South Texas!
Thanks, George. I did enjoy our few days in NJ. The fall foliage was beautiful. π
So colourful and beautiful Sylvia! I just love Autumn and all the colours that goes with it. Great shot hon. π
Thanks so much, Sonel. π
Gosh! That’s a beauty! We’ve got some nice examples around here still but I fear the forecasted change in the weather will bring an end to it. ((sigh))
Thanks, John. Make the most of it before the bad weather arrives. π
Wow! This tree definitely stands out among the rest!! I just love the bright orange leaves and all the leaves scattered on the ground!
Thank you. It just waved to me, so I shot it. π
A curious questions … in your area of South Africa, did trees change there like this?
Not so much at the coast where I lived, as most of the trees there are tropical. Where my sister lives, a bit higher up from the coast, there are more, and in Johannesburg, which is over 6,000 feet above sea level, we did get a ‘proper’ autumn and winter, although it rarely snowed.
Thanks for letting me know … and cheers to the continuity of the rhythms of the seasons.
Syliva, this is just why I’m an autumn girl … the colors and the air. Stunning image. Over here there is no leaves lefft on the trees … that is so sad.
Bare trees can also be very beautiful in their starkness. I love spring and autumn the best. π
I’m totally with you … on this one about spring and autumn.
I will have a walk about with Oscar this weekend if the weather is okay.
well for a quick shot – you sure grabbed a great photo – the tree is glowing! and to piggy back on Andy’s comment, we also here in VA have had some super warm days this fall – has been nice, but we also have had the fall colors. π
Thanks, Yvette. I often take shots out of the car window, especially if we’re stopped at the lights. Sometimes they turn out quite well. π
sounds like a cover art theme – “Out of the car window⦔ ha!
gorgeous tree, Sylvia! we are still enjoying fall colors but not for long. safe travels π

Lovely salmon color! Enjoy the warmth of Florida.
Thanks, Annette. π
beauteousness!
Thanks, Cindy. π
Gorgeous colors . . . but we used to do a lot of raking this time of year when we lived up north.
Thanks, Nancy. Yes, lots of work to be done, raking all those leaves. π
Beautiful shot. Where in NJ? You are leaving at the right time- down into the 40’s this weekend!
Thank you. We were in Montclair. I know that we were very lucky with the weather. π
Gorgeous colors.
Thanks, Marylou. π
This year’s fall is so weird here up north and in some parts of the west coast too, feels more like spring still even if the trees are shedding :-\ hum
I guess it’s nicer to have mild weather, rather than really cold. π
Okie there’s that lol π
So gorgeous Sylvia. Most of our leaves are now gone. A few snowflakes this morning for good measure. π
Thanks, Sue. Snow already? Wow!
Just a brief bit and above freezing temperatures now with sun. Fingers crossed for more snow free days.
I’m trying to imagine the cold temps, as I sit here in shorts and flip flops. π
Imagine me in a down coat.and boots. π
Snug as a bug in a rug. π
Beautiful picture. I love how you took it π
Thanks, Jake. π
Such a beautiful orange.
Thanks, Colline. π
Amazing, love it… π
Thanks, Drake. π
I really hunger for those colors. We won’t have the fall leaves for weeks. And they won’t be nearly as pretty as the northern trees.
The picture is lovely, but it doesn’t quite fill my appetite.
Thanks so much. You must show us yours when fall arrives. π
