Each week Cee invites us to share our oddball photos. She defines them like this, “Odd Ball Photos are those great photos that you take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category. We’ve all taken them and like them, because we just can’t hit delete and get rid of them.”
I have two really unusual plants to show you this week. First we have the ‘Street Lamp Plant’ which is to be found only in Florida.
Next up is the really unique and much sought after, ‘Tulip Bonsai’. It’s so rare that I doubt you’ll be able to find one at your local plant nursery, but you could look on the internet.
These photos have been lurking on my desktop for a couple of months. Now at last, I can delete them. 🙂

Very clever. Street lamp indeed!
Thanks, Ark. 🙂
I wish all of my Monday mornings would start with a post like this one. 😀
So glad I gave you a smile, John. 🙂
Fantastic plants….. now lets see where I can get those unusual plants … hmmm 🙂
Hehehe. Let me know if you do find them. 🙂
Sure will, hehe 🙂
Clever shots both Sylvia! 😀
Thanks, Madhu. 🙂
Highly unusual these Sylvia I agree 😉
Thanks, Sherri. You don’t see these very often. 🙂
Haha 😀
I am LOL at this one, Sylvia. Very rare plants indeed. 🙂
Thanks, Lynne. Glad you enjoyed my bit of fun. 🙂
Surely you are not going to delete permanently such unique specimens???
No, I’ll definitely keep them for posterity. 🙂
Good… 🙂
Your Tulip Bonsai is most unusual ad. Love your pics 🙂
Yes it is. You won’t see another one the same. 🙂
Haha photos have a way of becoming useful once you start blogging. The first pic looks like lady Liberty!
You’re so right, Gilly. Nothing goes to waste. 🙂 Yes, I do see a vague resemblance to lady Liberty. 😕
buongiorno Silvia, queste due piante veramente strane mi hanno molto colpita, in particolare lo straordinario bonsai-tulipano
exelent!
🙂
So glad you liked them. I don’t think you will find them in Italy. The climate isn’t conducive to growing them.
😉
I love your sense of humor. 🙂
Thanks, Lisa. It’s sometimes very odd. 🙂
great oddball plants – and I have never seen either so that is cool – the Tulip Bonsai fascinates me….
So pleased that you like them, Yvette. They’re very special indeed. 🙂
Bwahaha!
😆
🙂 I like them, and they made me laugh, but why would you want to erase them now, I don’t understand…
Thanks, Paula. I still have the photos, but they’re no longer cluttering up my desk top. 🙂
LOL – I love it! That’s sneaky tulip bonsai will be the envy of all bonsai growers 😉
Absolutely! Glad I made you smile, Dianne. 🙂
love this Sylvia! really clever 🙂
Thanks, Lola. 🙂
Your perspective on these images…fantastic.
Thanks, Laurie. I thought they were quite fun. 🙂
Goed gevonden en het laat me glimlachen.
Thanks Marylou. Glad I made you smile. 🙂
The tulips are great. Your photos are perfect odd balls. 🙂
Thanks so much, Cee, and thanks for giving me the chance to use them. 🙂
Oh yes the old tulip bonsai trick. 🙂
Hehehe. 🙂
Clever pictures 😉
Thanks, Pussycat. 🙂
I have a lot of those odd ball ones.
I like your counter tops. 🙂
You should enter Cee’s challenge. The counter tops are in my daughter’s kitchen. 🙂
Oh you clever girl you…
Mwah! 🙂
I think the street lamp plant is trying to tell us to look up at the sky. We’re there any odd cloud formations? 😉
Florida does have the most amazing cloud formations. 🙂
dang that street lamp plant almost resembles a person without the head 😯
Yes, I see what you mean, Andy. Scary stuff! 🙂
wahahaha love it! I take it that the street light tree is only visible from certain angles?
Thanks, Marco. Yes, you do have to be positioned just right, halfway up the neighbour’s driveway. 🙂
at some weird angle while leaning in a certain way, lol
and hoping like mad that the neighbours weren’t watching me. 😀
wahahaha! what’s the worst that can happen – they label you as suspicious and they keep an eye on you! Not like you were rummaging through their bins or anything…right?
One doesn’t want to do anything that looks even vaguely suspicious in America. I’m sure it’s probably a crime. I can just imagine what would happen if people started shuffling through the garbage bins like they do in South Africa! 😯
the police would probably come for you…if the bergies don’t get to you first…or the halfwits we seem to attack the bergies…people can be so cruel and so wicked…
