5 Day B&W Challenge~#2 Romance in Rome

I’m still in Rome for day two of the 5 Day B&W Challenge, and my photo is quite a different  from yesterday’s. Whilst happily meandering through the city, we came upon this happy scene. I always enjoy seeing street musicians, but this lovely couple really made my heart sing along with the music. As you can see, they were oblivious of anyone else, and really living in the moment. Just the beautiful music and their love for one another. ‘Bésame Mucho’ was obviously their special song. I think the B&W really adds a timeless quality to this image.

Thanks Issy of Isadora Art and Photography for asking me to take part in the 5 Day B&W Photo Challenge.

There are only two rules for this challenge:

1. On 5 consecutive days, create a post using either a past or recent photo in B&W.
2. Each day invite another blog friend to join in the fun.

I’m not sure who has already been nominated for this challenge, and of course it’s entirely voluntary, so today I’m asking Marylou of ‘Natuurfreak’ blog if she would like to join in. I always enjoy seeing the photos she shares.

  1. I love the whole vibe that you gave us – and S – this really is one of those evocative photos that speaks 1,000 words – and I know the mood is set by the musician and the couple – but looking at them separately they tell their own story – especially that musician with his sunglasses, choice elf instrument and hair! really loved this street shot –

  2. Everywhere I go there’s black and white, Ad! It’s taken over the world 😦 Roll on Spring, I say! Seriously though- I really like this one. Much more than your Colosseum, and it becomes obvious that certain images do lend themselves to B & W.
