Look who came to our front door yesterday. Hubby was just finishing up after a day’s renovating, when he spied a tiny little turtle at the front door. He took a quick photo for me before carrying little Terrence down to the lake, where he happily waded in and swam off, probably to reunite with his family.
Hope your Sunday is going swimmingly. I’m off to ‘Boot Camp’, the thought of which isn’t entirely thrilling, but I always cook a really nice fullΒ English breakfast when we get home. π
Turtles are such a rare sight in my environs that I get very excited when I see one!
What a cutie! Hi Terence π
π
He looks a bit shy there π
He was probably wondering what on earth was going on. π
so very cute. i love this little turtle. great shot.
Thanks, Sherry. π
So cute, love it π
Thanks, Sherri. π xx
I love the way you live hand in glove with nature, Ad. (but not the crocs π )
Thanks, Jo. Hubby would never pick up an alligator. π
Awwww…
You saved it’s life!
I guess that’s possible. π
oh what a cutie! and hubby so sweet, Sylvia! π
Thanks, Lola. Yes, hubby is very kind. π
He arrived too early for the English breakfast! π
Haha Yes he did, and at the wrong house too. π
such a cute little thing. hope boot camp and the breakfast were good
Thanks Ruth. Both were excellent and the one sort of cancelled out the other. π
Awesome!
Thanks, Ark. π

So cute! I hope you had a wonderful day. π
Thanks, Lisa. Yes, it was a great day, rounded off perfectly by dinner with friends. π
What a cutie!! Happily with family tonight, I’m sure π
Thanks, Tiny. π
Oh how grateful the poor lost thing must have been to be returned!
I hope that was what he wanted, Sue. π
So was there a reason he was named Terrance? Very sweet photo with him all packed up in that shell.
All turtles are ‘Terrence’ to me. I think I must have had one in a book when I was a child. π
Okay and the alliteration works too – Terry the turtle!
What a sweet picture – it’s so cute!
Thanks, Meg. π
I have 4 turtles at home in the Philippines! this made me miss them so much. #MySundayPhoto
Thanks, Merlinda. Are they pet turtles? How often do you get to see them? π
The beginning of another really great day…
Thanks, Charlie. Wishing you a great week ahead. π
Peekaboo!
π Hi there, Jacq.
Oh my gah! He’s adorable! We have snappin turtles here, they are fond of toes and fingers….
yes he is. I think you can keep your snapping turtles. π―
cute little fellow π
#silentsunday
Thanks for looking and commenting, Joanna. π
What a great little surprise, good to hear he was safe
Thank you for linking up
Thanks, Darren. My pleasure. Have a great week. π
Love that. He came to the right place and hitched a ride back home. Love the peek a boo view.
Thanks so much, Nikki. π
We get frogs in our pond, we would love to have a turtle or two, but it is near the driveway, would hate to have anyone hit one. So, alas, no turtles!
No, you definitely don’t want squashed turtle pancakes, do you? π―
oh wow! now there’s an interesting visitor π cute!
Thanks, Andy. yes I think ‘cute’ is a very good word. π
Especially when it’s peeking from it’s lil home π
I wonder what he was hoping to find, perhaps he’d heard you were planning breakfast!
Well, we don’t have a kitchen at that house yet, so all he could have had was some of hubby’s coffee. π
Aw…he’s shy. I love turtles! π
Yes, such a little sweetie. π
Hubby didn’t invite him in for dinner?
Not this time, Gunta. Maybe when the kitchen is in place. π
Anybody home, I guess so… π
π
He was just checking things out – having a good time. We have a pond across the street and one behind our backyard, so we call it the turtle highway – back and forth they go, and sometimes lay their eggs in our yard. They can get quite large ~
Thanks, Mary. Yes, I guess he just wanted to meet his new neighbour. π
π
Dear little thing :-). But stay well away from the ‘snappin’ variety. Very long necks and can take your hand right off!
Oh my goodness! I’ll definitely watch out and also warn hubby. π
Sweet!
Thanks, Kathy. π
Such a sweet surprise. Terrence? I hope he found his family again. I really would have loved to meet a turtle in my garden.
Thanks, Ann Christine. He was so small. Must have been a baby. π
Turtles are great . . . glad your hubby found little Terrance a place to relocate and recreate.
Thanks Nancy. Me too. π
So sweet! You have the nicest guests dropping by Sylvia!
Yes we do, Adrian. Always something going on there. π
Aw hello Terrance, welcome to spring!
Hehehe. What a little cutie! π
Perhaps he’s coming everyday to say goodbije.Amazing photo.
Thanks, Marylou. I think he’s safer in the water. π
Wow! What a great surprise and a great picture! Love this shot!
Thanks, Constance. π
You had a cute guest.. Sometimes I see them going around in the street and could not help wondering where they were going.
Maybe they’re going shopping, or to the office. π
LoL.
Ooh that’s a great picture and what a lovely surprise at your door! #MySundayPhoto
Thanks, Cate. π
