Paula’s Thursday’s Special this week is ‘Panorama’. Here are panoramic pics taken from the top of Table Mountain, looking down over the city of Cape Town and Table Bay. My header pic also shows Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for eighteen years during the South African Apartheid era.
Table Mountain, is one of the ‘Seven Wonders of Nature’, and if you are fortunate enough to visit Cape Town, you will definitely understand why.
I did a post about Table Mountain about a year ago, so if you would like to see more of my photos and read some of the history, you can click here.

The aerial shot is pretty cool!
Thanks, RoSy. They were all taken from the top of Table Mountain. 🙂
I was privileged to visit cape Town a couple of times – stunning location – your photos bring back those memories so thank you!
Yes, it’s a place one never forgets. Glad you enjoyed my pics. 🙂
I see one of your Table Mountain pics on Paula`s page. were they taken from the Cable Car station . I used to live in Plumstead just outside Cape Town and drove there often.
It must have been really nice living so close to Cape Town. 🙂
Lovely pictures!
Thanks, Zoe. 🙂
Beautiful photos. I remember being on Table Mountain and seeing Cape Town from that point was striking. If there is one South African city I would want to visit again, Cape Town would be it.
Thank you. Yes, I agree with you about Cape Town. 🙂
awesome views from the top, Sylvia! beautiful! 🙂
Thanks so much, Lola. 🙂
Now that is some view my friend, just beautiful 🙂 xx
Thanks, Sherri. 🙂 xx
Lovely photos!
Thank you. 🙂
Spectacular Panorama!
Thank you. 😄
Cape Town and the Table Mountain are both awesome. I was there about a decade ago and enjoyed it a lot. Except Robben Island, which I found to be extremely boring..
Thanks, CG. I haven’t been to Robben Island. It doesn’t really appeal to me. 🙂
Wow, so beautiful. The landscape is breathtaking! ❤
Thanks, Lucy. 🙂
Wunderschön wünsche einen schönen Sonntag große Umarmung Gislinde
Happy Sunday to you too, Gislinde. 🙂
Oh beautiful Cape Town! You’ve captured it so well AD.
Thanks, Cocoa. Yes, it is beautiful. When were you last there?
I was actually in SA last month. But I couldn’t fit CT in my itinerary, spent a lot time in the Garden Route instead.
What a gorgeous view from the top Sylvia. Stunning shots! Thanks for sharing the beauty of Cape Town with us. 😀 ♥
You’re so welcome, Sonel. I’m happy you enjoyed my photos. 🙂 xx
I loved Cape Town! But my visit was work related and too short so I’d love to go back one day
I hope you do get to visit Cape Town again, Tiny. I also want to go back one day. 🙂
Wow! These are breathtaking, Sylvia. I’m curious, the last photo, if you were at the top of the mountain, is there any sort of guard rail? I’m afraid of heights and taking a picture from that height…yikes…I would faint. 🙂
Hahaha. No there isn’t a guard rail. Actually when you get up there, it’s not as flat as it looks from down below. You just have to be careful not to go too near the edge. 🙂
Beautiful and clear. As far as the eye can see – just beauty and the hand of our Maker in it! Awesome!!! 😀
Thanks so much, scrapydo. 🙂
This is one panorama I really would love to see, Ad. Fat chance! Keep posting the lovely photos 🙂
Thanks, Jo. I wonder if I’ll ever go there again. I do hope so. 🙂
Cape Town is so lucky having that handy mountain as a viewsite!
Super shots – no tablecloth that day!
Yes, it is lucky in more ways than one, Col. 🙂
The second photo looks three dimensional Sylvia ☺
Yes, you’re right, Gilly. I hadn’t noticed until you mentioned it. 🙂
Amazing views Sylvia. Wow!
Thanks, Sue. 🙂
I have always heard that Cape Town is a beautiful city. And your photos only confirm that. Lovely images.
Thanks, Otto. It’s the most beautiful city in South Africa. 🙂

Very nice pictures of the places. I love the white waves curling along the coast in the last picture. So cool to look at!
Thanks, YC. The beaches are really beautiful, but the water’s cold. 🙂

Loved being at Table Mountain and Robben Island. Not just scenic. Plenty of history, too!
Very true. I’m happy you’ve seen all this for yourself. 🙂
And would go back in a heartbeat!
All this beauty specially for me for my special. You are a darling, Sylvia. Have a great weekend! I am going to see and listen to Ennio Morricone tonight 🙂
Thanks so much, Paula. I’m happy you loved the photos. Was the concert really amazing last night? xx
