Granddaughter in motion for the WPC

Well the family visit is sadly over, and all that’s left are wonderful memories, lots of laundry, and a myriadΒ  of sticky fingerprints on every mirrored closet door and sliding glass door throughout the house. Why are these surfaces such kid magnets? I certainly have my work cut out for the next day or two, and will be constantly in motion, without needing to go to the gym.

The weekly photo challenge this week is ‘Motion’. I captured our son and 9-year-old granddaughter having fun in the pool. I think these photos fit the challenge.

He was certainly getting a great arm workout, because no sooner had she landed in the water, than she was back again for more.

  1. Great photos – they make me want to jump right in! I love how the water looks in the air like that. I remember doing that kind of thing with my dad a long time ago. Thank you for bringing back those memories!

  2. After every “vacation” you need a vacation! I think shiny things always attract the little ones (and some bigger ones, too)–they like to look at themselves. Then again, don’t we all? πŸ˜‰

  3. Love it, perfect take on the ‘motion’ challenge Sylvia! Brings back so many happy memories of when my children lived in the pool during those hot Californian summers πŸ™‚ Sad when everyone leaves (oh I know that feel 😦 ) but as you say, you are now left with all your wonderful memories…and loads of fantastic photos too! Not to mention already looking forward to the next visit!! So happy for you that you had this lovely family time together…with all those sticky handprints left behind to prove it πŸ˜‰ Hugs… xxx

  4. Amazing photos. Looks like everyone had a full time splasing about in the water and keeping cool. Oh dear, lots of cleaning up but I bet you’d have them over again in a heartbeat πŸ™‚

  5. I understand perfectly the sticky hand prints on glass doors.:) Kids are in constant motion and your shots captured this. What fun.The pictures yesterday was cute, too. Hubby was in the corner out of the melee.
