A very special visitor

In just a few minutes, we’ll be leaving for the airport to pick up our eldest granddaughter Tamsyn, who is flying down from Johannesburg to spend the weekend with us. We’re so excited to see her again. She has exciting times ahead, as next week she flies to New YorkΒ  to spend time with our son and his family. In September she will begin her university studies at university in England.

I remember when she was just a sweet little tot.

I wonder if she’ll be able to teach me some of these moves.

We’re going to have lots of fun, and on Sunday evening we’re going to see theΒ  ‘Madame Zingara’ show which is on in Durban. Some of you may remember this pic which I took when we went to the Johannesburg show last year. If you did see it, you’ll definitely remember. πŸ™‚

Happy weekend to you all.

  1. Time does fly, but I am amazed by how little you have changed Sylvia! And it seems like your gorgeous granddaughter has no bones in her body!!! πŸ™‚

  2. Wow ! What a talented granddaughter ! So when are you going to show us you doing that impossible position Sylvia (centre of the three) πŸ˜‰ Oh boy ! πŸ˜€ ❀

  3. Oh my, I was NEVER that flexible! I hope you had an excellent weekend and I wish her the best in her studies. I loved my Psychology courses (though I’m a sociologist). πŸ™‚

  4. I’m sure by now you’ll have had a lovely catch up with your grand daughter Sylvia … and all the rest of the weekend’s fun to look forward to πŸ™‚

  5. Is this the same granddaughter you remarked on on my blog the other day? I wasn’t that flexible even when I was her age! Have a wonderful visit!

  6. And here I thought I had wiped that last image from my mind… πŸ˜‰ Perhaps a warning next time you decide to post it. I’m STILL trying to get over the fingernails. πŸ˜‰

  7. I do the same poses as granddaughter twice a day. … πŸ˜‰ … NOT … enjoy the visit, but I didn’t think I would ever see the Madame Zingara photo every again.
