Sunday Stills Challenge: Red is for rubies

Ed’s Sunday Stills Challenge this week is ‘Red’ which happens to be one of my favourite colours, maybe because I’m a Leo and my birthstone is the ruby. When I’m wearing red, I can sometimes get very brave, like when I got up and serenaded hubby at our Ruby Wedding celebration dinner.

Some time ago, the love of my life gave me a pretty little ruby and diamond heart pendant, which I really enjoyed wearing.  Sadly, last year it was stolen whilst we were on holiday, and as you can imagine, I was most upset. Today I’m back in the red again.

I’ve just just woken up to see  that I have dozens of wonderful birthday messages from my friends on Facebook and my family overseas, and will be chatting on Skype to my daughter and son this morning.  I feel like a real celebrity and know that today is going to be very special. To get in the mood, I’m sitting with a bowl of red berries for breakfast, and listening to my favourite birthday song.

Later, we’ll be going to lunch at one of my favourite restaurants. I know it must seem to you that I’m always eating, but don’t worry, I’m as tall as I’ll ever be, and as long as my birthday makes me older and wiser, and not older and wider, I’m happy.
