Aug 16 2015 My Sunday Photo: Lock up your bicycle in Key West I couldn’t resist a couple of photos of this bike with all it’s locks and trimmings, parked on Duval Street. Is that a purple Elli hitching a ride? Share this:MoreShare on TumblrTweetLike Loading...
Yes, and also Ponte Vecchio in Firenza. 🙂 I wonder if these are love locks on the bike. If so the owner must have had a lot of lovers. 😀 Reply
Great catch with these gorgeous photos Sylvia. So colourful! They can definitely open up their own lock shop. LOL! Reply

Whew! Now that is one bike that really makes a statement……I’m just wondering what that statement is…… Reply

do you think the bike lock key is hidden amidst all the clutter in plain sight? that must make the bike really heavy to ride Reply
An intriguing thought about the lock. I don’t remember looking to see if it was actually chained to the post. I wasn’t thinking of stealing it. 😀 Reply
Of course this would be the first thing which popped into your mind, Sue. You could wear your bikini for riding, so as not to add too much more weight. 😀 Reply
A good catch. That is very interesting looking bicycle. I think the owner much bear much more force to ride one with such collective weight on it. Reply
Absolutely. Are you referring to this truck? 🙂 https://anotherday2paradise.wordpress.com/2015/08/12/wordless-wednesday-key-west-kitsch/ Reply

I guess style rather than speed is what they were going for… 🙂
Absolutely! 😀
Now that is paranoia!!! I would definitely take photos if I saw that…
I know you would, Pauline. Couldn’t just walk past it, could I? 😄
No way…
Love these Sylvia! So bohemian just like the people who ride them I imagine.
Thanks, Nicole. I’m sure you’re right. 😃
Who needs a bridge when you have a bike! #mysundayphoto
Exactly so. 😃
It let me think at the bridges of Paris full with a hundred of locks

All I can think of is the extra weight in riding this bike. I have enough challenges as is!
Of course this would be the first thing which popped into your mind, Sue. You could wear your bikini for riding, so as not to add too much more weight. 😀
Ummm let me think about that….no I think I will go with a light bike. 🙂
😆 Hehehe
This was quite an island bike, in my opinion. Pretty and decorative. 🙂
Thanks. Yes it fitted in perfectly with the surrounding area. 🙂
LOL – KEY west – glad I read the comments 🙂 How funky; good eye to catch it!!

Thanks, Darren. My pleasure. 🙂
It’s ironic that the place is called Key West – all those locks really suit! 😀
Hahaha. I hadn’t even thought of that, Dianne. Good one my friend. 🙂
I bet the owner is as colorful as the bike!
I’m sure. Would have loved to hang around to see him or her. 🙂
Great collection of curiousities , on this bike….
Must be very heavy to move!
Hahaha. Yes, I guess so. I would have loved to see who the owner was. 🙂
Funky
Definitely. 🙂
hehehe! That made me chuckle…What a great photo x
Thanks, Kim. It made me chuckle too. I would love to hear what it sounds like in motion. 🙂
I’m guessing that all that extra weight impacts the MPG rating.
I’m sure it does Nancy, but people only tootle around in Key West. 🙂
Very festive!
More decorations than a Christmas tree. 😃
Cool bike! 😀
Absolutely! 😎🚵🏼

Thanks so much. Yes, I guess you’re right about the extra effort. 🙂
Only in Key West. I guess I missed that one. Did see a truck covered in conch shells. 😎
Absolutely. Are you referring to this truck? 🙂 https://anotherday2paradise.wordpress.com/2015/08/12/wordless-wednesday-key-west-kitsch/
