‘Thursday Doors’ and ‘Two Different Treatments’ in Key West

Our hotel in Key West was right on the beach. If when you come down from your room in the elevator you turn right, you will miss these rather pretty doors and end up either at the pool or on the family beach.

Should you happen to turn left when you emerge from the elevator, you will find yourself out in the sunshine and on a small topless bathing beach. Hope you like my crimson colour saturation for this photo edit.

  1. I love both photos Sylvia; the crimson effect really changes the whole atmosphere of the place doesn’t it? In readiness for a little ‘colour’ at the beach to the left no doubt 😉 Beautiful doors 🙂 xx

  2. Two different feelings as I approach both doors: first, calm and into a peaceful existence. The saturated effect – high energy and anything goes. Cool Sylvia!

    • Thanks, Gilly. What do YOU think? I only spotted the sign when we were sitting at the bar, and could only see a couple of loungers there. I don’t think it was very popular as most people were there with their children. 🙂

  3. I liked your description of the doors and how to find them. You know there are many things to miss while traveling if someone doesn’t point you in the right direction. 🙂
I prefer the original double doors but the second one looks like it would fit into a fantasy fulm. 🙂

    • To be honest, I don’t think either of them noticed the topless beach. It was very inconspicuous, and I only saw it because of a small sign on the wall with a bikini top crossed out. Of course, I didn’t mention it to them. 😆
