Ramses and Nefertari, two fine examples of Egyptian Geese, showed up in my backyard yesterday.
“Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh
Walk like an Egyptian.”
I could also link this to Jude’s ‘March Wildlife Garden Photography Challenge’, but maybe she’s getting tired of seeing so many of my visitors. π
Wishing you all a sunny Sunday.
What an awesome sighting! π
what wonderful names for them – perfect!!
I have never seen such unusual geese. Great call on their names, Sylvia. π I am hearing that song in my head. I wonder how the lyricist came up with the words, so unusual to think of Egyptians dancing while in the 70’s or ?!
Such a gorgeous pair and so worthy of their names.
Haha, cute!
Thanks, Margie, Yes they are. π
lovely pair π
Thanks, Lola. π
WunderschΓΆn ich wΓΌnsche einen schΓΆnen Montag und eine gute neue Woche eine Umarmung Gislinde
Thanks so much, Gislinde. Wishing you a very happy week too. π
They look adorable..partners for life π
Yes, I believe so. π Thanks, Indah.
love that you named them Sylvia π
Thanks, Tandy. They do look like royalty. π
Very cute! π I’m afraid I’m going to be in the dog house, Ad π¦ Have a good week! How’s the house going?
Jude said that dogs aren’t allowed as wildlife. π House is progressing as well as can be expected considering the amount of work to be done. Update coming in the not too distant future, but no kitchen.
I did just read the ‘no family pets’ admonishment, but he wasn’t my famiy pet π¦ Still no kitchen is my idea of heaven π
Nice to meet them!
Thanks, Aletta. π
I Have to admit to being a bit scared of geese (bad experience as a child) but I do love the look of Egyptian Geese,
These two looked quite docile, but I still wouldn’t get too close.
Oh dear, I meant to say geese…they are very grand!
Yes they are quite regal looking, hence the royal names. π
Beautiful ducks…I hope Mr A (or another) is not around!
LOL Sylvia – Love their names, perfect!
π Thanks, Tina.
They are so dignified – they could easily be moving to the music!
Yes they are. I loved watching them. π
Good names for those geese.
Thanks, Nancy. So glad you approve. π
Great capture!! You had me smiling with the reference to the song!!
Thanks, Constance. π
You just keep them coming Sylvia. I am thrilled to have them linked to my site π
Thanks, Jude. I’m sure I’ll be back again very soon. π
Oh, great colours! Sooo Egyptian, you even pictured them sideways… Have a great week!
Hehehe. Yes, they’re quite marvellous, aren’t they? π
Gosh it’s very cosmopolitan in your neck of the woods…..Egyptians now….what next?ππ
I know. I’m finding it hard to cope with all the exotica around me. π
I love Egyptian geese, so pretty π
Yes, they’re always so well turned out. Eye makeup and all. π
Lovely title and beautiful duo.
Thanks so much, Marylou. π
You also have me hearing Steve Martin singing, “King Tut.” Too funny. Have a wonderful week.
