Feathers on Friday: Small Egret Watching

Here’s our Small Egret sitting in Mr. GBH’s favourite spot. Either he’s feeling very brave, or someone has told him that ‘The Boss’ has gone away for a long weekend.

I’m linking this to Charlotte’s ‘Feathers on Friday’ challenge. My friend Anna Of ‘Una Vista Di San Fermo’ blog has re-nominated me to do the 7 Days of Nature Challenge. If any of you nature lovers would also like to also join in, please do.

Wishing you all a splendid weekend. Our friend Leah and her husband have kindly invited hubby and I to share their Passover Dinner this evening. I’m really looking forward to a brand new experience.

  1. This was a perfect feathers post with my liking this little guy, Egor the Egret. Just kidding, Sylvia, but the silliness let loose a bit! πŸ˜‰ I know you will enjoy Passover meal with friends. My Dad’s best friend as an adult was Irving Lezberg and we three children were thrilled since their family had 4 children and an indoor two floors high atrium with parrots inside. πŸ™‚ We went to one of the boy’s bar mitzvah and had a few special holiday meals there. πŸ™‚

  2. I like all the tan tree stuff hanging – adds so much interest – great shot and love egrets – looks like you are not missing your old habitat at the old place –

  3. You bring back memories of sharing Passover with friends in the Boston suburbs many eons back! I finally got to see some of the smaller egrets like yours on my journey through the south west. You may get to see it, too, if I can just get organized. O_o

    • We had a lovely evening and dinner. They aren’t orthodox, so apart from having all kosher food and wine, it was just like any other dinner party. They did explain the symbolism of certain dishes she had prepared. Very interesting indeed. What exactly are you getting organised? πŸ™‚

      • What I am trying to organize are the 1,000 plus images I snapped on this 9 day trip! It’s taking awhile, but gradually I’m sorting through the discards or the keepers. πŸ–₯
