This is also day #7 of my ‘7 Days of Nature’ challenge; thanks to Anna of ‘Una Vista Di San Fermo’ for inviting me to participate. If you would like to join in, just post a nature photo on seven consecutive days and link to my blog. You can also invite another blogger to take part.

Have a very happy Sunday, and I want to thank all of you who wished me well yesterday. I’m happy to report that this morning  I’m feeling so much better.

  1. I used to keep a couple of ducks when I was a young teenager Sylvia, a duck and a drake and when my duck, Fleetwood, went missing, I was convinced a fox had got her then one afternoon, quite by chance I was looking out of the window and what a pleasure it was to see Fleetwood coming down the lane with 12 young ducklings following along behind. She’d taken herself off to a quiet spot and got on with the business of incubating her eggs. Fleetwood really was a proud Mum and brought her brood down onto our patio so the whole family could see what a good job she’d done. Young ducklings really are so very cute! 🙂

  3. A home school class trip, per Drake’s comment. 🙂 I love ducklings and goslings. The former grow up to be lovely and somewhat shy; the latter get less attractive as they age and when they’re small, the parents are much too aggressive.

  4. I missed you weren’t feeling well. Very glad you are feeling better, Sylvia. I must have been rushing through blogs. I had my 7 year old Micah with me and he plays Roblox on the computer next to me, on Sat and Sun. When my daughter works. Today, he is still asleep. 🙂
Your Mama Duck has the most baby ducklings I have ever seen. Ohio ducks have 4 usually, 6 is a surprise! Such a beautiful photo to see. Have a restful day of recuperation, dear. xo
