Do you think he was “dreamin’ ’bout his bundle of joy?” (Don’t know if you remember that song or not.) We have lots of these guys in the park and they’re rarely quiet!
Such a beautiful bird. Never seen one Sylvia but then they don’t frequent these shores. I don’t blame them for staying where the weather is just a tad better! 😀
Well it suddenly started to pour down with rain, so I gave myself a rain check. 😄
That sounds like a wise decision. 🙂
I love these birds. I never got a descent picture when we were living in Sacrament. But they loved to play and sing in the sunflower fields, made for a great bike ride.
Beautiful capture! I love red-winged blackbirds. 🙂
Thanks, Jackie. They’re so beautiful. 🙂
This is an awesome photo, Sylvia. We have lots of these little guys around and they’re fun to watch.

That is so true!
The red and yellow and the black, so beautiful. I wonder what all we could learn if we could understand it’s language.
Thank you. Yes, I wonder too. 🙂
I love the way birds just sit there taking in the breeze and watching the view. Great capture, Sylvia 😉
Maybe we could learn a lot from them. but then, they don’t have blogs to visit and write, shopping to do and meals to prepare. 😀
Lucky birds! 😀
Now what might that bid be thinking….
Anyone’s guess, Sue. 🙂
Beautiful eye capture, Syliva! 🙂

Of course I remember the song. Where else did you think my blog title came from? Have I given you an ear worm? I’ve had one all day. 😀
I thought so. And yes, I have one.

Thanks, Helen. Yes, I was lucky. 🙂

Haha I’ve got it bad too. 😕
Beautiful! I’m curious, you and I take a fair few pics of birds that visit our spots, do you know how many species you have recorded to date?
I honestly haven’t even thought to count, but it must be a good few.
Something to think about … 🙂
I have managed to photograph 37 individual species and confirmed visuals of 9 more.
That’s pretty impressive. 🙂
Pragtig!
Dankie, Tina. 🙂
I adore blackbirds and this is the prettiest one ever – don’t tell the ones in my hedge though!
Thanks, Gilly. No we can’t have yours getting jealous. 😅

Pretty! I’ve never seen one look so relaxed.
I hypnotised it. 😀
LOL Good morning!
Good morning to you too. 🙂
No time for daydreaming, like the lovely bird, for me. So much to do, so little time 😉
Me too. 😕 Do you remember that song by the Lovin’ Spoonful? It’s our era. 🙂
The tune came into my head the moment I saw the heading!
Job done then. 😃
Daydreaming of soaring great heights surely 😀
No doubt about it, Andy. 🙂
He’s a beauty!
He was so gorgeous and ‘fluffy’ looking. 🙂
