For Jithin’s ‘Mundane Monday Challenge’, he asks us to frame a mundane object to make it look beautiful.
Maybe iguanas aren’t mundane to your life, but in my backyard I can usually see at least three or four of these strange creatures at any one time. Looking out of my bathroom window, as I often do these days, I spied Iggy Jr. framed between two palm tree trunks. He had such a hopeful expression on his cute little face, that I wanted to go out and ask him what he was wishing for. Whatever it was, I hope his wish is granted.
Happy Monday to you all. Tomorrow i will reveal my exciting Saturday purchase, so “stay tuned,” as they say. π

Quite a colorful one today. Almost camouflaged! Spotting them itself is a task, taking a picture is much more!
Thanks, Jithin. I always spot them straightaway when I look out of my window. I think my eyes are trained iggy-spotters. π
haha.. maybe experience!
Iggy, Jr. has such a friendly little “jut” or “tilt” of his chin. He looks cute but determined, Sylvia. Bless you for sharing these truly nice, smile-makers! π xo
Glad you also love that cute little face, Robin. ππ
Ahh…bless him! I hope he got what he was searching for! And now I’m so excited…heading to your next post pronto!!! π xx
Thanks, Sherri. He’s such a cutie. π xx
Awwww, I truly hope he got his wish Sylvia. He is such a cutie! Lovely shot of him. π β₯
Thanks so much, Sonel. π xx
I’d be surprised to say the least if I looked out my window and saw anything remotely like Iggy. π
Hehehe Never say “Never.” π
Hi there cutie pie π Pawkisses for a glorious day π β€
Thanks so much, dear Binky. π xx
He does look hopeful! Great find from the window – π
Thanks so much, Yvette. π xx

Thanks, Gislinde. Hugs to you too. π
The king of cute! So long as he doesn’t come wandering in through that bathroom window. π
Isn’t he just? Bathroom window doesn’t open. π
π
What a sweet shot.
Thanks, Fi. π
…..forse voleva dare un morsetto alla gamba della sua amica Sylvie, ma solo in modo molto affettuoso ! π
Yes of course, Annalisa. I prefer not to have such an affectionate gesture from him. π xx
All about perspective – Such a beautiful photograph, Sylvia!
Thanks, Dries. Glad you like it. π
Maybe it was his birthday, hence his wishful face π
Cute thought, Mabel. π
Hope is beautiful π they are quite amazing creatures!
Thanks, Helen. Yes they are. π
Hmm, he may wish for taking a tour of your house. Definitely, junior is cute!
I hope not, YC. Let’s not put such ideas into his head. π
They aren’t mundane in my life, but I’m enjoying peeking in on Iggy at your place. Today I managed to spot and capture (on my phone) a frog at the edge of the river, so my photo day was complete. π
janet
Thanks, Janet. I’ll hop over to see your frog if he’s on your blog. π
He’s not yet. Not quite sure when he’ll appear. I may end up double posting just because I’m so happy to have finally seen him.
I must visit your bathroom one day, Sylvia π Iggy does look hopeful, maybe he’s spied a nice big bug π
You’d be very welcome to visit my bathroom, Dianne. Hopefully before your arrival, our living area will be finished, and we can sit comfortably with a glass of wine, watching the Iggy family cavorting outside on the grass. π
Oh yes – how lovely! π
Alert and so green … love it!
Thanks to you pics, I could almost learn to like the likes of Iggy!
Can’t wait for the surprise!
He certainly is cute!
Knock Knock
Who’s there?
Iguana
Iguana who?
Iguana know what you bought on Saturday.
Hahaha Love your ‘Knock knock’ nonsense game, Nancy. Tomorrow, all will be revealed. π
I never ever tire of your wonderful iguana photos, Sylvia, and the beautiful creatures who walk by your bathroom.
Thanks so much for saying so, Jet. I just looked out again, and there were six of them all lazing in the sunshine. π
He is so cute. Great shot, Sylvia!
Thanks, Carol. I think he’s adorable, but not so adorable that I want to hug him. π
You are very good at reading your garden visitors moods, spot on I’d say!
Thanks, Gilly. They do have such amazing facial expressions. π
Sylvia, with your herd of iguanas, your place should be bug-free. That’s it! Iggy has a juicy bug in mind. ~James
Maybe you’re right, James. Now you mention it, we don’t get many bugs here at all. π
All those years of living in buggy places warped me (well and maybe two cases of dengue fever). My first thought is how many bugs their are. ~James
I can’t blame you for that, James. The dengue fever must have been so awful. π¦
What a cutie Iggy Jr is!
Aaaaagggg cute
Absoluut, dit is vir seker. π
Certainly he’s waiting for something to happen…
Wish him luck!
Thanks, Anna. He is so sweet. π
Ahhh Iggy you’re very handsome-great photo π
he looks like he is in wonderland! π great capture, Sylvia! π happy Monday!
They are cool looking.
Carefree and happy
Oh, I love this shot, Sylvia. Iggy looks so curious. π
Thanks, Jill. He’s so adorable. π
A new car? A different house for Hubby to reno? Anxiously awaiting with Iggy. That what he is thinking about.
Hahaha. Perish the thought about the new house to renovate. π―
All right. Wrong guess. π
what are all waiting for? Pleasure. He was waiting for the pleasure giving insect,
I of course, wait for other kinds of pleasure…
I’m glad your Iggy has his freedom out there, unlike my Iggy Pop that I used to house sit for, in a big cage that got too small for him as he grew bigger. I wonder where he is now, as the family sold their house to downsize.
This is why we have such a large Iggy population here. It’s because people have released their pet Iggy Pops into the wild, and they breed like rabbits. π
He’s cute!
I also think so. β€
I have to look very well to find him in the green gras and he knows it.Very special photo.
Thanks, Marylou. He is quite well camouflaged. π
Lovely shot of Iggy – he does look hopeful. May his wish come true! π xx
Thanks, Marina. Me too. π xx
Gotta love how well they hide with their color changing tricks π
They’re really amazing. I could watch them all day. π
