“Listen to the trees as they sway in the wind. Their leaves are telling secrets. Their bark sings songs of olden days as it grows around the trunks. And their roots give names to all things. Their language has been lost. But not the gestures.” – Vera Nazarian (The Perpetual Calendar of Inspiration)
Happy Wednesday to you all.
Lovely words, Sylvia. Ahhh, trees – I love them all xxxx
Thanks, Dianne. Me too. Happy weekend, my friend. xxx
The trees do seem to hold mysteries, all kinds of creatures hide among branches and limbs, Sylvia. I would always believe Nature has its way of passing secrets and love the word, “whispers. . . .” It holds so much intrigue! 🙂
A delightful dance, indeed. The words of Vera Nazarian are magical. 🙂
Thanks, Otto. Glad you enjoyed. 🙂
Such beautiful words to match you lovely image
Thanks so much, Seonaid. 😄
Yep, I can see your dancer Sylvia. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
Great! Thanks, Adrian. 😃
Ahh…beautiful. I’ve always believed that trees talk…and dance… Have a wonderful rest of the week Sylvia, and a lovely weekend if I don’t see you before then 🙂 xx
Thanks so much, Sherri. Yes, trees are really special, and I also believe that they have magical qualities. What would this world be without them? Hugs to you. xx
Doesn’t bare thinking about does it? Hugs back dear Sylvia 🙂 xx
lovely
Thanks, Lisa.
I like the words about the tree.. The tree looks a bit scary but it is a good capture!
Thanks, YC. I think the tree dancer isn’t very scary. 🙂
Beautiful tree and words to go with it Sylvia. Happy Wednesday!
Thanks, Sue. 😘
And what a dancer she is!
So glad you see her. Gilly. She’s so lithe and slender.👯
I LOVE that quote!!! Thank you – I have added it to my collection.
Thanks, Rebecca. So happy you enjoyed the quote. 🙂
Love the image and imagery!
Thanks so much, Nancy.
Spesiaal
Baie danke, Tina. 🙂
I love this, very thought provoking and very true. Our trees are certainly talking today, it is quite windy and they are swaying this way and that in the breeze, as if nodding in agreement to each other or leaning in a little closer to hear a whispered tale and oh the secrets they could tell.
Thanks so much, Susan. I’m sure I would enjoy hearing your trees gossiping to one another. 🙂
Fancy That! It really does look like a dancing tree. We have one near us that looks like an elephant. The children used to love driving past in their way to school. It’s good to have an imagination 🙂
Most lf all I admired the big World Tree in the movie Avatar. It was so beautiful, so emotional… And the old bark of trunks I also like very much. Thanks, Sylvia.
Thanks so much. It’s always comforting to know that someone else can see what I see. 😀
Very special
Thanks, Marylou. 🙂
Happy Wednesday to you Sylvia!
Thanks, Mary. 🙂
so very true! happy wednesday, too, Sylvia 🙂
Thanks, Lola. 🙂
oh wow now there’s something I never thought I’d see 🙂
Just shows that one can never say “Never.” 😀
Indeed! lol
I’m so curious as to what type of tree that is, Sylvia…it’s beautiful.
Thanks, Jill. I really have no idea. 😕
