Floral Friday Fotos: Sunny Orchid

I’m feeling very sunny today, just like the weather and this beautiful orchid.

All he spackling and sanding is done and the primer paint is going on the walls and ceilings. This afternoon we’re going to choose the metallic paint for the tin ceilings and the dome. Things are really looking up. The kitchen appliances are arriving next week, and hubby is almost ready to start putting down the wood flooring. Yes, I’m feeling very sunny indeed.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

  1. those orchids look like beautiful. How can one think of kitchen appliances and silver domes seeing this? They rather look like Easter narcissa having been kissed by an angel and gone red in love….

  2. Beautiful flower, Sylvia. And nice to hear the home is coming together and sounding more cozy day by day. Metallic paint, that sounds amazing and maybe you will do a bit of a home tour 😉

  3. Fabulous orchid. Good to hear your house is taking shape. I thought I would go insane when we renovated our house (a builder did it, we’ve not as talented as your hubby) but now it is wonderful to have an almost new house.

  4. Sylvia it sounds like you are in the final stretch of the reno! Woot Woot! No wonder you are feeling sunny. No wonder the orchids have come out to celebrate!

  5. Sounds like things are moving very much in the right direction, photos soon please! Love love this orchid, is it growing quite naturally in your garden, or in a pot. Stunning colours. Have a gorgeous weekend

  6. oh so happy things are coming along very well in your house Sylvia. that is so exciting. beautiful orchids! thank you for sharing the sunshine! 🙂

  7. I can’t imagine what it has been like living on a building site for so long – kudos to you both. Sweeping up the sawdust is very important. So, what colours are you going for? I want to decorate my new home, but having difficulty in making that final colour choice! And the orchid is a beauty… 🙂

  8. Yay, I’m so happy for you, you’ll be cooking up,a storm . It all sounds so lovely Sylvia. And your photo is perfect 🙂 have yourself a wonderful week end

  9. I am so happy things are looking up, Sylvia! 🙂 I am excited to see the final metallic paint on the tin ceiling and the amazing dome your husband created with precision and such expertise! I keep picturing a “copper,” but will look forward to any choice you two decide upon.
Yay, for no more dust and moving forward on appliances, too. Happy weekend a and enjoy! ❤

    • Oh yes, no more dust will be first prize indeed, Robin. 🙂 Yesterday I was vacuuming up all the spackle dust after the sanding. I think we’re leaning more towards platinum for the dome, but we’ll have to see what colours are available. 🙂 xx

    • Platinum will be a fine choice and go along with the grand piano in its classic appearance, Sylvia! It will be perfect as your other choices and taste are impeccable. I like this idea. 🙂
