Lately, I’ve been a bit worried about Lennie Limpkin. He always used to be accompanied by his friend Linda, but I hadn’t seen her for quite some time. Lennie had been looking rather lonely of late, and I was really hoping that nothing untoward had happened to his lady friend. Anyway, yesterday whilst he was busy foraging in our neighbour’s backyard, I spotted Linda, gracing one of the trees just across the water. It’s always nice to know that my outdoor friends here are doing well.
Happy Sunday to you all. Next week, we should be getting some exciting deliveries of kitchen units, light-fittings, and appliances. Things are really looking up.
Perhaps Linda was babysitting?
Most probably. I saw four Limpkins together today, but none of them looked like babies.
What a beauty! π
Yes she is. π
glad Linda is back, Sylvia. she is beautiful! π
Thanks, Lola. Yes she is. π
oh im so glad you saw Linda. fantastic capute of Lennie too.
so glad you’ll be returning to some more normalcy π Sylvia.
have a grand week
Thanks so much, Kathy. Yes, this week could see some welcome changes, although still lots more to do. At least there will be considerably less dust. π
Oh good news all around. The backyard wildlife are likely squawking in cheering chorus for you. π
Thanks, Sue. Those Limpkins can sure make a lot of noise. π
Always good to know the bird ”couples” are still together. Have fun unpacking your kitchen appliances!
Thanks, Gerrie. Now they say that they will only be arriving next week, π
I tend to worry when I don’t see my little friends for a while (it’s the mother in me I’m sure!) So glad you spotted her π
Yes, that must be it, Dianne. I saw four of them a couple of days ago. That made me happy.:)
It’s nice having so much wildlife in our lives but we tend to get attached to them, worrying if they do not show up when they should. Glad to see that Linda is fine, just arriving fashionably late, that’s all.
Good luck with the deliveries!
Thanks, John. “Fashionably late”…….I like that. π
Great news, Sylvia! π The wanderer returns.
Thanks, Tom. Happy to see her again. π
Have a nice Sunday, too π
Thanks so much. π
So elegant!
Reminds me of a beautiful “ballerina”….
Yes you’re so right, Anna. She’s very dainty. π
nice bird. wonder who gave her this Name… Has it to do with linda, like in Spanish The beautiful one?
I decided on her name. I didn’t know its meaning, but it really does suit her. π
That’s a lovely shot! Have a great Sunday too Sylvia. π
Thank you. π
Dinner? Next week? Your place? π
Maybe Linda’s been sitting on a nest somewhere . . . and sending Lennie out for “take out.”
That’s perfect, Nancy. You bring the pizza and I’ll provide the paper plates and plastic cups for the wine. π
Great shot, Sylvia! He’s beautiful. An exciting week ahead…yay!
Thanks so much, Jill. π xx
Perhaps they had a bit of a fall out. She’s lovely, he’ll have to be very nice to her!
Maybe she’s been sitting on the nest. I’d love to see some baby Limpkins. π
She’s so elegant, I can see why Lennie is smitten with her.
And good news on the kitchen, Sylvia, that must be so exciting. Soon now, sooooon. π
Thanks, Marion. Yes, she is rather lovely. Every day is a day closer to having to cook again. π
Having to cook, or finally able to cook again? LOL π
Not quite sure which, at the moment. Time will tell. π
So happy you spotted her, happy Sunday
Thanks, Susan. I was just reading you new post and will return to it when I get back from the gym. It needs to be savoured. π
She is pretty. I am wondering why the two are separated. I hope it just go about doing business for some short while.
Please have a happy Sunday too.
Yes, I’m sure they will get back together again. I’ll be sure to keep a lookout. π
