Paula’s B&W Sunday Challenge is to post one of our favourite photos in B&W. Here is my favourite subject, although Sammy Squirrel and Iggy are both vying for second place.
Mr. GBH is doing a bit of home renovation.
Wishing you all a very happy day.
I am trying to catch up a little and enjoyed this beautiful photograph of one handsome Mr. GBH! Wonderful idea of transferring it into a B&W, Sylvia.
Thanks, Robin. He really is very handsome indeed. 🙂
He has definitely got style!
That’s for sure. 🙂
Wonderful shot Sylvia!
Thanks, Adrian. 🙂
Probably the best shot of Mr. GBH.
Thanks, Rommel. He looks good up there. 🙂
beautiful shot.
Thanks, Anand.
I have never thought to take a photo of a GBH in black and white…very interesting. Mine have always seemed washed out when taken in color. I like it!
I edited the colour photo into B&W. Here’s the original: https://anotherday2paradise.wordpress.com/tag/home-building-in-florida/?iframe=true&preview=true
I like both your photos. I guess it is just my inability to capture a good photo of a GBH. 😦
Thanks, LuAnn. Keep trying. 🙂
Will do.
Always good to see someone doing a bit of DIY about the home. 🙂
You can come to my house and see hubby working every day. 🙂

A definite jaw-dropper! I am thrilled, Sylvia. I have never imagined him looking so good in B&W. It’s quite understandable that this should be your favourite 🙂
Well, he looks good all the time, but I think he might be especially proud of himself if he were to see this B&W portrait. 🙂
This is a seriously excellent composition and it looks super in monochrome.
Thanks so much, Ark. Right place, right moment. 🙂
Great capture in black and white
Thanks, Marylou. 🙂
I just love these guys!
Me too. 🙂
Wow! Great capture..
Thank you so much,YC. 🙂
This is so inspiring! I love the post:)

Thanks, Irene. 🙂
What an amazing capture!
Thanks, Lisa. 🙂
Hmmmm……I’m not sure I like him as well without his beautiful coloring Sylvia. But beautifully done.
Thanks, Tina. Me neither, but he’s still very handsome. 🙂
Lovely photo, Sylvia.
Thanks, Carol. 🙂
Wow!
Thanks, Dawn. 🙂
Sylvia, it’s interesting to me how different he looks in B&W, especially since he’s not all that different in his original colors. He still looks great, but different.
janet
He looks different every time I see him. 🙂
He looks stunning! I hope Chris looks just as stunning doing your renovations 😉
Well not quite, but very close. His old tackies fell to pieces, so he’s had to relegate a pair of decent ones to work in. 😅
Beautiful and graceful
Always. 😃
Very effective in black and white Sylvia. Speaking of home renos how are yours coming along?
Thanks, Sue. The house is progressing very well, but still lots to do. 🙂
I think you should have an international housewarming when its complete. I feel like I want to celebrate just having seen your posts! I’m sure it will be stunning when its all done.
Thanks, Sue. I’ll post some photos for sure. 🙂
Bou sy ‘n nes?
Yes he is, and it’s a big one. 🙂
I’m sure your husband understands!
He’s very comfy in his old working clothes and doesn’t try to compete with the majestic Mr. GBH. 🙂
Love your photographic eye. You could have a coffee table book of just Mr. GBH.
Thanks, Jessica. I’d like that, but then the Iggys and Sammy would be jealous. 😀
True!
B&W here really highlights all the intricacies of GBH’s feather structure. Lovely photo, Sylvia.
Thanks so much, Jet. He is such a wondrous bird. 🙂
This bird looks so majestic with its wide wings 🙂
Yes he does. I love him. 🙂
Very effective, in B&W!
Thanks, Anna. 🙂
Very effective
Thanks, Derrick. 🙂
oh wow even with home reno he’s very dramatic and posed 😄
Yes he is always spectacular, ever so slightly more so than hubby in his paint spattered oldest clothes. 😆
Well I’m sure your husband can flap his arms and carry the paint brush by his lips too 😉
Hehehe I’ll ask him to try that. 😀
Do tell us how it goes 😄
Wow! That looks great in B&W, Sylvia!
Thanks, Jill. He’s a great photo model. 🙂
