Odd Ball Photos for Cee’s Challenge

Every week, Cee invites us to post those photos we take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category. I often take random photos which just happen to tickle my funny-bone. Here are a few of them.

This freak sideshow at Coney Island, sparked my curiosity enough to take this photo, but there was no way that I was going to go inside for a look, even at the bargain price of 50c.

On our way to Key West, we stopped for refreshments and as it turned out, to buy me a new pair of sandals. πŸ™‚ Finding the restroom proved quite easy, as it was well signposted.

This rather weird reflection in my crystal ball, was taken at our last house just before we packed up all our stuff, and serves as a reminder of a time when I had a furnished sitting room. I’m hoping that before long, the state of our home renovations will be such that I can unpack my ornaments and have fun finding a place to put them.

I smile whenever I look at this photo of Mr. Igasho in his orange jacket. He looks almost human, and like an escaped convict looking to see if the coast is clear.

Wishing you all a very happy Thursday. Hope my oddballs gave you a few smiles.

  1. Those are all adorable, Sylvia. I would have a hard time picking a favorite! How is the headless woman doing? I heard about a headless chicken living for 9 months. The guilty person who cut its head off felt remorse and fed it with an eyedropper through its neck hole. I wonder how they fed Ms. Headless. BTW, I’m watching out for anything odd in my yard wearing an orange jacket looking like an escaped convict! πŸ™‚ I love being in such honored company! πŸ™‚

  4. These are great for the challenge. The headless woman is truly weird and I love the “poop deck” hehehehe. Mr. Igasho really does look human – this would be the sort of photo people would use to ‘prove’ the reptilian/human conspiracy theory πŸ˜€

  5. I always would wonder about peep or freak shows, Sylvia as a child. Now, I am content to imagine the people in more normal settings, but the Headless woman just is beyond comprehension!
I think your photo capture of the crystal ball was a fantastic image, not odd so much as unique! xo

  6. Interesting and funny pictures. “Poop Deck” sign for the restroom does not sound so good. It suggests an open place for doing your private business.

Please have a happy Thursday too.

  7. A very odd set of photos, indeed. I love the first two especially. I’m not sure I would have wanted to see the headless woman either, even at that bargain price! So, how are your renovations coming along?
