She was a bit generous with the rouge brush 🙂 My guy, Martin the Muscovy Duck, has not yet returned to the marsh this spring, but I’m hoping to see him one of these days.
Hi, Sylvia! That Miss Muscovy seems sweet in temperament but a little “rough around the edges!” 😉
I had a strange and at least not life endangered Friday. So, once again am doing a Sunday catch up time! (Warehouse accident hurt foot, x-rays and not broken, car would not do anything later on Friday, light for electronic throttle control was lit.) Son and his grandfather in law came Saturday, my grandies and i walked to eat breakfast. (I hobbled with contusion bump having gone down with rotating heat and ice). Car got towed to dealership today. . . Not even Friday the 13th, family is always so good to pitch in and try to fix things. 🙂
I have traded in my car and love my new to me “ride” of a Chrysler Touring 200 in silver. The family drove it only 16,700 miles in five years and faithfully changed oil, kept it tuned up. My foot is healing, Sylvia and only chose to be on light duty a few days.
Bless you! I wanted to recommend a great movie called, “Brooklyn.” It has an Irish young woman coming to America. (2015) The story is quite lively and even male friend enjoyed this library rental. Thank goodness for family and friends. 🙂
I was just thinking of a Carnival mask, like Ventisqueras…!
But I might as well consider her as one of the Merry Wives of Windsor……
Beautiful , anyway!
Oh, it was set in the 50’s so fascinating! I pictured my Mom and Dad meeting in different circumstances. xo ❤
Look at that red face. Oh dear, she’s been at the gin again.
Superb view outside your bathroom window. Nice close-up ….
Issy 😎
Sweet red face!
A beautiful red face! 🙂

Definitely a bit heavy-handed, Helen. We have a few of these Muscovys here. I wonder if Martin is visiting his cousins. 🙂
Schönes Huhn liebe Grüße und einen schönen Tag wünsche ich Gruß Gislinde
Thanks so much, Gislinde. Wishing you a very happy day. 🙂 xx
She doesn’t resemble cousin Daffy very much, but hey – every member of a family is a bit different.
True, Frank. We each get what we get in the looks department. 🙂
I realize that sexual attraction must play a role here but, even so, I’d love to know more about this duck’s travels through Natural Selection.
Quite so, John. I’m sure she’s attractive in the Muscovy duck world..
Love her bright vibrant colour
Thank you for linking up
Thanks so much, Darren. 😃
heehee… that’ll teach her to look through your window!
Now her red face is all over the Internet. 😃
LOL
Hi, Dawn. 🙂
A little heavy on the blusher Ms Muriel, but you have lovely eyes!
Thanks, Gilly. Yes, she does. 🙂
Wowza that is quite the face! Maybe a wee dab of wrinkle cream. 🙂
Oh yes, her looks are quite striking, Sue. I’ll pass on the hint. 🙂
I’ve missed hearing about the scenes from your bathroom window!!
Haha. Now the rest of the house is almost finished, I don’t spend so much time looking out of my bathroom window. 🙂
That made me smile!

So sorry to read about your accident and car trouble, Robin. Thank goodness for family. Hope you heal quickly. xx

Now, now, Sylvia. That’s her natural face… 😂😳😂
Haha She doesn’t read my blog. 🙂
She looks like a duck crossed with a turkey…not the best head gear!
Oh dear, I’d better not tell her what you said, Gerrie. 🙂
Oh dear, never let it be said that I made that remark, she is very cute too!
Nice recovery, Gerrie. 😅
Maybe she was blushing because she looked in the bathroom window, Sylvia 😀 She’s gorgeous xxxx
Thanks, Dianne. It’s only Iggy who peers through the bathroom window. 😅

Thanks, Anna. I wonder if she is a ‘merry wife’. 🙂
Perhaps a little heavy handed with her blush. Great shot!
Haha…….Very funny, Jill. I’ll pass on your tip. 🙂 ( I have your book on my kindle and am enjoying it very much. )
Aw…thank you, Sylvia…that’s nice to hear. ❤
She looks very relaxed, Sylvia.
She certainly was, Tom. 🙂
She is so vibrantly THERE- 🐔
Great comment, Pamela. 😃
Her eye shows that she is very happy.
Yes, I think she was smiling. 🙂
Sometimes I wonder about genetic adaptations . . . e.g., what benefit does a Muscovy duck get from being red in the face?
Well, I guess you can’t really tell when she’s blushing. 🙂
She’s not a beauty but she looks happy
Thanks, Marylou. Yes, she does look happy. 🙂
Muriel looks so content though, love that puffed up look, all is right with her world it seems !
She was content to curl up there for quite a while. Her head was tucked into her feathers for a lot of the time. 🙂
come sono adorabili queste anatre così colorate, sembra che indossino la maschera di carnevale…che dici la portiamo a Venezia?
Yes, you’re right about the mask, Annalisa. Maybe I should export her to Venice. 🙂
