Silent Sunday: A Frolic of Dolphins

” On the Planet Earth, Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much …… the wheel, New York, wars and so on –  whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time.

But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man, for precisely the same reasons.” ~ Douglas Adams – The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Wishing all the Dads a very happy and relaxing Fathers’ Day.

  1. I loved this Father’s Day message, dear Sylvia. I read that “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Universe.” The quote was marvelous. 💞
I stopped by to tell you I watched a wonderful movie about aging and so sweet called, Unfinished Song with Vanessa Redgrave, Gemma Arterton and Terence Stamp. It’s British so a little off color (PG 13). xo

  2. Neil De Grasses Tyson mentions that if we were truly designed by a god why did he only give us one hole for breathing and eating? The dolphin has separate holes and it is also a mammal!

  3. Hmm, I start to believe dolphins are right.

A nice shot of the dolphin family. It reminds me occasionally seeing similar one in Fl. Please have a happy Sunday and Father’s day.

  4. What a lovely quote to share. You can work very hard, and also play very hard, and end up in the same place together 😀 Beautiful capture and the dolphins must have been happy to see you 🙂
