Six Word Saturday: Anatole says “Here’s looking at you.”

Anatole is the largest of our resident Anole lizards. He lives inside our screen room and although he’s cute and very well-behaved, is never allowed into the house. He seems quite content to peer at us through the glass doors and occasionally goes over to chat to the fish in our pond; but they are a story for another day,

Wishing you all a splendid and relaxing weekend.

WPC: Christmas Eve Sunset Glow

For this week’s photo challenge, Jen H asks us to share a glowing image.

Last year, hubby and I took an Antarctic cruise to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary. On Christmas Eve as our ship sailed out of Punta Arenas, Chile, and we prepared ourselves for an evening of festivities, we were treated to the view of a most gorgeous, glowing sunset. One of the many special moments to remember from our amazing trip.

I hope you’re all enjoying a splendid week.

Wordless Wednesday: Let’s Go Our Separate Ways

Yesterday, the always alone Woody wood stork, seemed to have finally found a friend. “Hey beautiful, how about a date this evening?”

Ms. Wilma wood stork, although quite flattered by his attentions, decided that he wasn’t quite handsome enough for her, besides which, her mother had warned her not to talk to strangers.  She replied as she stalked off, “Thanks but no thanks, Woody. You go your way and I’ll go mine.”

Nice try, Woody, Better luck next time.
