I can clearly see 11, but maybe 12 if I calculate with the lowest branch to the left. It looks like a bird ready to take off. Probably the one assigned to investigate who took the shot. Be careful, the next thing you know they’re in front of you demanding you to remove this photo. I’m guessing you posted this without model release? π
Nice shot!π
Well, I posted this especially for you after your previous comment. π I agree with you about the number of birds, but as to their demands, Iβm not sure they would want to miss out on the opportunity of becoming famous on my blog. It could be the making of their modeling careers. π€£
π Really? Thank you β€
You’re right. There is probably a rumor about birds getting famous through your blog and now they might have purposely flock at that tree to get your attention! In this case, the one flying after might be seeking you to write a modelling contract. π
Thought it was about time … much has changed on WP but doing my best to get to grips with it .. lots of faffing with settings et al
Great to see you here still though Sylvia π
I’m looking forward to seeing your little corner of Florida once again .
Weβre leaving for the UK and S Africa in 10 days time.
Exciting !
Spring should be in full swing here π and very green Sylvia .. Irish mist plus plus the last few days Lol
Love birds like that on a dead branch.. great for photography.. π
Maybe because they provide safety whilst also giving an unobstructed view over the area, or maybe they just like showing themselves off to potential mates. π
That’s an awesome photo Sylvia.
Thanks, Gilly. π
That’s a great photo, those birds sure know how to pose!
Thank you. Yes, they are naturals. π
Nice snag for a gathering!
Wonderful!
Thanks, Fi. π
I’ll play it safe ~ I see 9-12 birds! π
Youβre pretty safe with your estimate, Nancy. Theyβve all flown away now, so weβll never know for sure. π
π
I thought ten….?
if my eyes didn’t make mistake, I counted 12 birds… Beautiful photograph dear, Thank you, Love, nia
Iβm happy that you can also see twelve birds, Nia. Thanks so much for your lovely comment. π
Great photo, I like the way the birds have given each other some space..this is the teacher in me talking!
Oh yes, I see what you mean, Gerrie. I guess we all like our personal space. I know I do. π
Wows! Great shot!
Thanks, Suzanne. π

Very nice capture.
I am not a good at counting. I can count 9 birds
I think there are twelve, but I could be wrong. π

Thanks so much, Lola. π

I see there’s still room at the top Sylvia π
Lovely silhouette shot of your unknown birds !
Thanks, dear Poppy. How lovely to see you again. π

Me too, Lisa. I took this with my phone from quite a distance, so canβt see what birds they are. π
Why do birds seem to prefer the bare (dead or leafless) trees?
Do they not like leaves tickling their feathers?
Maybe because they provide safety whilst also giving an unobstructed view over the area, or maybe they just like showing themselves off to potential mates. π
Those are some pretty good ‘maybes’.

Looks like there’s still a bit of space left… π
Yes, squeeze up squeeze up, more birds coming in to land. π
