We have just returned from a road trip to visit our family in New Jersey. Just before we left, I took this photo of my Vanda orchid coming into bud over the fish pond. I’ve had this orchid for five years and it flowers very frequently, always with more flowers than previously. It really is the gift that keeps on giving.
Now the gorgeous purple lady has thirteen flowers and two more stems with more than a dozen buds bursting to come out. It was a lovely welcome home.
I’ll tell you more about our trip next week. Happy weekend to you all.

That is one gorgeous plant. I don’t have the outside conditions and we’re gone part of the winter so I’ve never tried my hand at orchids, but I certainly appreciate their unique beauty. 🙂
Thanks, Judy. We have several here in Florida. The warmth and humidity are perfect for them.
Nothing like flowers to create a welcome, Ad. 🙂 🙂 We are still in the process of arranging our patio and I take great delight in plants that flourish.
This is very truer, Jo. I also love a floriferous patio. 🙂 xx
Beautiful!
Thanks, Donna.

Thanks, Lisa. It’s great to be back home. 🙂
She is a beauty. I work with a lady called Vanda.
Thanks, Carol. I think the origin of the name is German.
It must be extremely happy with it’s location. It’s showing it’s gratitude.
It does seem to thrive well, since we moved it inside the screen room away from the munchy iguanas. 😀
Wow! That’s gorgeous, Sylvia!
Thanks, Jill. 🙂
Lovely. My favorite. Both the color and the orchids.
Thanks, Jessica. My Mom loved this colour too.
It seems amazing to me that such delicate orchids can thrive outside. Gorgeous Sylvia and I hope you had a great trip.
Thanks, Sue. Yes we did, but it was wonderful to get home again. 😀

Challenge met … Hi Sylvia.
Thanks, Frank. 😃
An amazing floral welcome home. How lucky are you to be able to grow such beauty in your backyard? Are you facing any challenges from Dorian?
Thanks so much, Lisa. Fortunately for us, Dorian passed us right by. Others were not so lucky. 😰
Am glad that you are safe. Dorian’s wrath has been heartbreaking
