  1. Two excellent quotes, Sylvia. Seeing Robert Ludlum’s name made me smile. I read all his books and enjoyed them, but the thing I always remember is how he used italics to convey urgency/thrill/etc. His books were filled with italics. Secondly, after he died, it took some years before the author information even acknowledged that he was dead, which I thought was rather strange.

    • Thanks, Janet. I’m sure we have a few of his novels in our bookcase. I suppose it took a while to admit he’d died, because other authors immediately took up the mantle and carried on where he’d left off. It was tragic that he died relatively young. (I think of 71 as quite young.) 🀣
