Six Word Saturday: Santa Waits For His Last Ride.

Ho,Ho, No………!!

Seen on our morning walk around the neighbourhood on ‘Trash Collection Day’. Poor Santa didn’t survive the lock down. What a sad sight.

    • We still had another 3 miles to go on our walk, so not feasible to cart him and the basket round with us. We’d definitely have got some funny looks. Hopefully the bin men rescued them. πŸ˜ƒ

  1. At first I thought it was a real person!! (Just using my cell phone screen.) It was a relief to realise that no, it’s just a mannequin, but yes, I hope he was rescued.
On a side note, interesting to see trash piled up like that on a street. Was that a re-cycling day?

  2. Thanks for the morning laugh, Sylvia. When we lived in Ohio, people would drive around picking up good things from the trash before the trash man came to pick them up. Having just moved recently, I know about getting rid of things I might actually want to keep. Sometimes you just have to do it, though. Hopefully Santa will be re-homed. .

    • The first time I saw this happen was when my son was living in Hoboken and even now I think it’s quite common in NJ. He once β€˜rescued’ a Barbie-mobile and the kids loved driving around the backyard in it. πŸ˜ƒ

      • When our girls were little, I found a number of Little Tykes pieces, well-built and expensive new, as well as one of their and their friends favorite things, a mattress to put in the basement and jump on. πŸ™‚

  3. So many people are sorting out, I do too actually, but it feels good to do it. Sad for Santa, will he be recycled, probably another household loves him!
