One Word Sunday: Egg

Debbie’s ‘One Word Sunday’ is ‘Egg’. We have had three of our grandchildren staying with us over Easter, so there have been quite a few eggs around the house. The family left this morning to go home and I found their Easter baskets in a corner, still containing a couple of chocolate bunnies and other assorted candies which they hadn’t managed to consume, so this granny and granddad will have a few sweet treats in the coming weeks.

My entries for Debbie’s egg theme aren’t edible eggs, but rather beautifully painted eggs seen at our local shopping mall.

i hope you enjoyed my egg gallery. To join in ‘Debbie’s One Word Sunday’, just click the link. Wishing you all a wonderful week.

  1. The handwork on these eggs is so delicate and lovely. We were supposed to spend Easter with our daughter, son in law and grandson, but they were all not well. Thankfully not covid, but they stayed home anyway. I’d bought chocolate eggs to share so Mr ET and I ended up having them all to ourselves.

  2. Treats all round then Sylvia seeing your grandchildren and baskets of chocolate πŸ˜‰
Ah I think the last couple of years have been so hard for folk with infrequent visits or none at all of family . Glad you had such a great time … but yes I can imagine the hush around the house now !
Those decorated eggs are super, love the rabbit and sheep ones with a Van Gogh style swirly sky !

  3. What a treat for your area! Those eggs are incredible and so beautiful! How lovely for you to get to spend time with three of your grandchildren over Easter. Possibly exhausting while they are there, but missing them as soon as they are gone. πŸ™‚

  4. Those are some wonderful hand painted eggs at your local shopping mall. So colourful. Enjoy the remaining sweet treats. We’ve got quite a few of them leftover here to last a few weeks. Hope you are well, Sylvia 😊

  5. Absolutely beautifully painted Easter Eggs, and very tricky to paint the shape of an egg too! How lovely to see your grandchildren Sylvia, a long time coming I’m sure.
Enjoy your left over Easter eggs.

  6. A visit with the grandkids. How delightful. They sure do grow up fast, don’t they? How considerate of them to leave some chocolates behind for granny and granddad! ☺️
