Feathers On Friday: Gentle Neighbours

On our morning walk, Muriel Muscovy approached me with that “Do you have any treats for me?” look on her face. Sad to say, all I had in my pocket was a tissue.

I invited her to come join the ducks under my bird feeder, where there are always lots of  seeds scattered in the grass.

She might even meet Mr Blue Jay who is also a frequent visitor, The more the merrier.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend, as peaceful as the wildlife in my backyard.

Friday Blues

A regular visitor to our bird feeder is Mr. Chatterbox the Blue Jay. He’s such a cheeky bird and will loudly see off any other competitors in the race for birdseed.

This photo was taken through my bathroom window, one of my best places from which to view the wildlife in our backyard.

Wishing you all a splendid weekend and a very happy Mothers’ Day to all the mothers who visit my blog.

My Sunday Photo: Got the blues in my backyard

Here is the bird I really bought the bird-feeder for. This was taken from my bathroom window yesterday, but today I saw two of them hopping around with four squirrels. I don’t think they’ve been able to use the bird-feeder yet, but we’re making a plan.

In the meanwhile, here’s my  Birthday Boy in blue.

It’s a beautiful day here in Florida and we’re off to meet friends for brunch at the Old Key Lime House restaurant on the Intracoastal. Have a wonderful Sunday.
