“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” ~ Lao Tzu
Our Cattleya orchid has been resting for so long, hanging high on the post outside the kitchen window. that I’d almost forgotten about her. She has however, obviously been very busy and yesterday surprised us with two exquisite twin flowers, just in time for hubby’s birthday. What a perfect gift.
Wishing you all a beautiful weekend full of pleasant surprises.
I’m feeling very sunny today, just like the weather and this beautiful orchid.
All he spackling and sanding is done and the primer paint is going on the walls and ceilings. This afternoon we’re going to choose the metallic paint for the tin ceilings and the dome. Things are really looking up. The kitchen appliances are arriving next week, and hubby is almost ready to start putting down the wood flooring. Yes, I’m feeling very sunny indeed.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
Some of the most beautiful orchids I’ve ever seen were at the National Orchid Garden in Singapore.
I think this beauty is a Catttelya Orchid.
This one is also really spectacular, and I’ve never seen another one like it. I wonder what it’s called.
It’s much cooler here today, only 18º C and very windy. I think winter has finally arrived in South Africa. Tomorrow, I’ll be off up the hill again to see my mom. I hope she’s warm enough. It will be her first winter in the care home. I’ve bought her some nifty purple, fingerless, knitted gloves, which have a piece on the the back, that can be pulled over to make them into mittens. Brilliant idea! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
