Bird on Bird

“Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come.” ~ Robert H Schuller

Last winter, Hubby saved this beautiful plant from destruction. Our neighbour told him that he was going to ask his gardener to dig it out because it had never flowered. Hubby told him to just be patient a while longer because this plant has the most beautiful flowers which would soon appear in the springtime, and sure enough he was right.

We have a particular fondness for this lovely plant which is indigenous to South Africa. It’s proper name is ‘Strelitzia Reginae’, and it’s also known as ‘Crane Flower’.
