Cheerful Pink for Cee’s FFC

Pink is one of my favourite colours, and my little granddaughters certainly take after me.

My  birthday in July last year was quite a pink affair, with my sister making me this beautiful chocolate cake, decorated in pink.

The following  day was my actual birthday, and we had ‘high tea’ at the Oyster Box Hotel, also with a pink theme.

My favourite pink Hibiscus is/was growing in a pot outside our front door in Umhlanga. I hope the new owner is looking after it well.

Pink is such a happy colour, and this weekend, I’m going to think pink and be as cheerful as these beautiful Proteas.

I’m sure everything is going to work out just fine, and as there’s nothing I can do to speed up the process of finally getting our Green Cards, I’m going to keep calm and stop worrying about it.  As our son often says,”It is what it is.” 🙂

It-Is-What-It-Is

Have a great weekend, and ‘Happy Mothers’ Day’ to all of you awesome moms. We rock!

Granddaughter in motion for the WPC

Well the family visit is sadly over, and all that’s left are wonderful memories, lots of laundry, and a myriad  of sticky fingerprints on every mirrored closet door and sliding glass door throughout the house. Why are these surfaces such kid magnets? I certainly have my work cut out for the next day or two, and will be constantly in motion, without needing to go to the gym.

The weekly photo challenge this week is ‘Motion’. I captured our son and 9-year-old granddaughter having fun in the pool. I think these photos fit the challenge.

He was certainly getting a great arm workout, because no sooner had she landed in the water, than she was back again for more.
