One Word Sunday: Tall

Debbie’s One Word Sunday is ‘Tall’ and my mind was immediately transported back to the Navarro River Redwoods State Park which we drove through on a road trip from San Jose up to Lake Tahoe three years ago. We travelled through an eleven mile ‘tunnel’ of towering Redwoods. These magnificent trees grow to between 250 and 325 feet tall and are certainly a sight to see.

On not quite so grand a scale, here are hubby and I with our shadows elongating our legs and making us look like giants or stilt-walkers.

If you have any tall stories to tell or photos to share, just click on the link.

Hope you’re all having an enjoyable Sunday. I’ve spent far too long today battling with my MacBook Pro after doing a soft wear update which seemed to mess everything up. Hubby helped me to sort it out. Nothing’s simple anymore, is it?

One Word Sunday: Odd

Debbie’s ‘One Word Sunday’ this week, is ‘Odd’. People can quite often have odd things at the bottom of their gardens. Some swear that they have fairies, but I remember an old children’s song which started, “There’s a worm at the bottom of the garden and his name is Wiggly Woo.” My neighbour across the water from us has something even odder than either fairies or a wiggly worm. Unbeknownst to her, there is an alligator happily sunning himself on the sandbank at the bottom of her garden.

He appeared to be sleeping with one beady eye on the look out for anything tasty passing by.
