Well, the week has really flown by, just like this Pelican on his way home to roost in the trees at the side of our lake.
I’ve survived my second week in our half-finished house, and am getting quite used to not having a kitchen. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. Have lots of fun times.
If you have any photos of feathered friends, join in Charlotte’s ‘Feathers on Friday’ challenge.
This is the shot I often get–making a quick getaway! Hope things get finished around the house soon.
Hope you have had a lovely weekend Sylvia. You’ll be a connoisseur of all the restaurants in the area after a year (???) of eating out. You will have to write a restaurant guide
Thanks, Pauline. Going to friends for dinner this evening, so no need to look for a restaurant. 🙂
🙂
That seems kind of awesome … You know no dirty dishes to wash, no refrigerator to clean out every week, having the luxury of someone else cooking a meal for you (although I love my inner chef just not the. Lean-up). Glad things are looking up lady. Have a great weekend!
Well, thankfully we do have a refrigerator, or I would really go insane. We’ll get there eventually, and then I’ll be able to look back and smile. 🙂
Ha! Probably. You’ll say remember the time when… 🙂
I’m sure we will, as we do about other stressful times we’ve come through.
I lived without a kitchen for almost a year. After a while, it didn’t bother me at all. I kind of got used to eating out 🙂
That’s nice to know, Carol. I’m thinking it could take that long before i have one too. 😕
If you’re lucky . . .
How right you are. I do a lot of head shaking at the moment. It’s really hard to imagine that rough concrete floor all covered in smooth wooden boards, and my kitchen in place where the wheelbarrow and piles of roof insulation stand at present. 😆
Ok – where did you catch this photo of the pelican? Is this your new back yard view?
Yes it is. I do love it here. 🙂
so glad! ((Hugs – and I will send you a virtual meal to share – sorry it can;t be a real life chicken pot pie – but you are just too far – so here is the virtual) (((( – pot pie****)))))
Hahaha. I won’t get fat on a virtual meal, so thanks. 🙂
oh my pleasure and when you say it like that – here is dessert! lol
Wünsche dir ein schönes und gutes Wochenende Gruß und Umarmung Gislinde
Thanks so much, Gislinde. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. 🙂 xx
Have a great weekend Sylvia!
Thanks, Aletta. 🙂
Have a good weekend, and look out for more wildlife!
Thanks, Gerrie. I just went out to look for more wildlife and found that there’d been a death in the pond, 😕
Sounds like you are really looking forward to the weekend, Sylvia. Enjoy it!
Thanks, Dries. We’re invited to friends for dinner tomorrow, so that will be a very enjoyable time. 🙂
Soon it’ll be worth it Sylvia-hang in there!!! Have a good weekend! Cheryl x
Thanks Cheryl. I’m hangin’. 😃
x
A great way to discover all the restaurants in the neighbourhood. I am sure your lovely hubby will have the house of your dreams finished in no tome at all. Have a good weekend Sylvia 🙂
Yes it is, Jude, and we’re working our way through them. I’m not sure about the “no time at all” as the kitchen will probably be the last thing to be completed. 🙂
Oh, well, make the most of eating out. I know when we are away we eat out a lot and actually once back home rarely go to a restaurant unless for Sunday lunch. Though I am hoping to do a bit more eating out in Cornwall 😀
We don’t usually eat out that much, as hubby says he prefers my cooking. I think I’ll have forgotten how even make an omelette by the time I get my kitchen. 😕
Such a clean shot, Sylvia. Looks like you are meeting your new neighbours one by one 🙂
Thanks, Mabel. Yes it does seem that way. 🙂
No dishes! Great shot, Sylvia. Happy Weekend to you and your hardworking hubby! ❤
Thanks, Jill. No dishwasher either. 🙂
A perfect picture for heading toward the weekend..
Thanks, YC. Have a great one. 🙂
Have a great weekend too💕
Thanks, Seonaid. 🙂
Glad you’re enjoying eating out. For me, a house doesn’t feel like home until my kitchen is set up and ready to go.
Yes, I think you may well be right, Nancy. My house won’t feel like a home until all the scaffolding and ladders are gone, my paintings are hung and my piano is back. 🙂
There are definitely times I wish I didn’t have a kitchen. Then again mostly the option is nice. 😉
Yes, I would appreciate the cooking option. 🙂
I suppose one good thing of not having a kitchen is not having to do the dishes…but then again, it will be lovely to have it all finished. Looking forward to seeing all the progress pics! Have a wonderful weekend Sylvia 🙂 xx
Thanks so much, dear Sherri. It will be a cause for celebration once my kitchen is in, because then I’ll know we’re almost done. 🙂 xx
Dear Sylvia, I know this must be stressful for you. You’ll have much to celebrate when everything is in and ready…the kitchen is such an integral part of the family home. How wonderful when it’s ready…get the champagne ready and I’ll raise a glass with you 🙂 xx
Thanks for your encouragement, Sherri. It means a lot to me. xx ❤
immagine favolosa che fa venire voglia di volare
un grande abbraccio Sylvia
Thanks, Annalisa. Wouldn’t it be marvellous? 🙂 xx
Those wings too! whew!
Thanks, Andy. Yes, for once I got the whole bird in the shot. 😀
Perfect 🙂
Still no kitchen, you’ll be forced to eat out, how awful 😉
I know! It’s really dreadful. I just hated having to go to the Thai restaurant last night, and have coconut shrimp. It was such an imposition! 😀
You might not have a kitchen but do have a super-camera!
You’re such a great photographer!
Thanks so much, Anna. I do my best. 🙂
Great photo and before you know it the house is ready.Fine weekend.
Thanks so much, Marylou. 🙂 You too. xx
perfect time to explore the restaurants in your area! 🙂 great shot, Sylvia! have a wonderful weekend dear! 🙂
Thanks so much, dear Lola. How right you are, and we’re making the most of it. 🙂
And before you know it, the house will be done. I love all your new neighbors, Sylvia.
Thanks, jet. That’s what I’m hoping for. I’m sure it will all come together very soon. 🙂
You mean the joys of eating out, Ad? Or take aways 🙂 Happy weekend!
We haven’t resorted to takeaways. There are some great restaurants around here, and then of course, there are always the ones at the club, so we don’t go hungry. 🙂
