I’m really not keen on cherries, so if I get a ‘cherry on top’, it always ends up on hubby’s plate.
This chocolate dessert was really delicious, especially without the cherry.
My blue Lychee cocktail had to have the cherry removed too, before I drank it.
One type of ‘cherry on top’ that I don’t mind is the cherry tomato,
but for hubby, the cherry on top is when I give him my pickled gherkin, as I don’t enjoy anything which has been in vinegar.
Happy Sunday to you all. If you have any ‘Cherry on top’ photos, just drop them off at this WPC link.
That does look good.
YUMMY … would hate to have to pick one. They all look delicious. 😎
I like to nibble around the big pits in the Bing cherries but don’t like the maraschino cherries on top of my whipped cream on a sundae. Interestingly enough, Sylvia,
I may eat it if set on the side and eaten first. I love grenadine syrup made of cherries in my Old Fashioned and in my amaretto sours! A woman of contradictions, I suspect. . .
PS. Just in case I haven’t shared this I have known a “new man in my life” since 104 days or more ago. We have a little day trip planned this Saturday. I won’t tell much about it on my own blog. Just hoping it works out since I happen to know a fellow blogger who recently is on a far away trip who may have lost her boyfriend. 😦
So happy for you, Robin. I was wondering how the ‘witless dating’ was coming along. 🙂 Enjoy your date. Hubby and I are happily munching our way through a bag of delicious Canadian cherries. Who knew that I would love them so much? 🙂
Oooh, cherry tomatoes, nice!
Delicious and makes me hungry
Haha Sorry. 🙂
They’re very delicious Sylvia. Fantastic photos collections!
Thanks so much, DellaAnna. 🙂
I like cherry tomatoes and cherry cherries. It was a good idea to go with the former for the challenge. 🙂
Thanks, Bun. You’re easy to please. 🙂
Yep, that’s true. 🙂
why is there a cherry in a litchie drink?ugh to blue coracao!
I suppose they thought it looked pretty. 🙂 Tasted wonderful, though.
all looks yum! 🙂
Thanks, Lola. 🙂
Looks good!😀
Thanks, Imelda. 😃

Great, now I’m hungry 🙂
Ooo – I’ll have your cherry! Delicious shots.
Just one more thing we have in common except for that vinegar thing. 😉
Cherry tomatoes – one of my faves. And I love your post on Partners: a lovely post.
I’ll take any kind of cherry: tart, sweet, or tomato. Having spent yesterday pickling a batch each of string beans, cucumbers, and peppers, I’ll have to find you a different hostess gift when I visit. Wine, perhaps?
Haha. Wine or chocolate will be very welcome, and you can help me cook. 😄
Didn’t know you aren’t a huge fan of cherries? I love them with dessert. That cheesy toasty sandwich looks delicious 😀
Yes, that was my sandwich. It was delicious.
I’ve seen a lot of these Cherry posts, and yours made me smile the most! 🙂
I’m so happy about that. 😃
❤️😊❤️😊
The chocolate dessert without the cheery gets my vote!
Oh dear, I meant cherry not cheery, although the dessert would make me cheery!
😅
The only problem I have with cherries is I can’t stop eating fresh ones – yum! But I’m not a big fan of the glazed ones in food or drink. And cherry tomatoes are growing in my yard now – I check them every day LOL 😉
Although I love Bing cherries, I’m like you, Sylvia. I don’t like any cherries mixed in my food or drink. Great challenge!
Thanks, Jill. I bought some fresh Canadian cherries today. They were plump and delicious. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed them. 🙂
It sounds like Mr A2P is doing okay when he dines out with you, Sylvia. He gets all the bonus yummy parts. I would eat all those cherries without a doubt.
Yes, He doesn’t complain at all. 😀
All good photos, Sylvia… I love cherries, but with or without them everything looked delicious!
Thanks, Tom. 🙂
Yummy dit lyk al te lekker
Dankie, Tina. 😘
I’m with you on the cherries, Sylvia ~ they go to BFF immediately. Love your pics.
Thanks, Nancy. Do you enjoy fresh ones?
I don’t usually buy fresh cherries, but eat them when they’re offered. But maraschino cherries no longer sing to me like they did when I was a kid.
I do LOVE cherries jubilee (with bing cherries) over vanilla ice cream.
No, me neither, but I was prompted to buy some today by a couple of the comments here. They’re not half bad. 😀
You went right to reality with this one…cherries and cherry tomatoes, eh. I had some cherries in Bulgaria that were the best I’ve ever had, fresh from the tree, and ripened already on the tree. SWEET…
Yum… I would like to try the cake 🙂
Sorry, it’s long gone. 🙂
(I’d like cherries but I’m sort of intolerant to them….)
Love the photos , specially the Lychee cocktail one!
I hope I’m not, because I just went out and bought a bag of fresh cherries, after reading all the comments about how nice they are. 🙂
Heheh! I only like fresh cherries, not the kind in drinks or on top of cakes. I would love that lychee cocktail but it should have a lychee swimming in it, not a cherry 😉 Cherry tomatoes are my favourites.
Thanks so much for your comment. 😃
Candied cherries are not one of my favorites either but fresh ones I could eat all day.
Because of your comment and a couple of others, I’ve just been out and bought a bag. We’ll try them for lunch. 🙂
I think that was a good move. 😀
Now I am famished after seeing all of this delicious food. Might as well have a cocktail too right? 🙂
Absolutely, Sue. If not, why nor? 😉
I love that attitude! It’s noon somewhere right? 🙂
Fresh cherries are good though in South Africa they are always bitter. Try the ones in Florida! But I agree, the candied cherries are the pits and should be banned!
Thanks for your advice, Rip. I just went out and bought a bag of dark red ones, and they’re delicious. I could become addicted. 🙂
You are so imaginative and creative in your wpc responses. But I do like cherries and they are in season now.
Thanks, Mona Liza. I’ll look out for fresh cherries next time I go shopping, and give them another try. 🙂
I love cherries, it’s cherry season here in France, I just sat at a tennis tournament munching away on fresh cherries as if they were candy, nutterly delicious
I can just imagine you doing that, Susan. I really should try fresh cherries again. 🙂
lol, I’m with you on all these, but I do love fresh cherries!
Maybe I’ll try fresh cherries if I see them. I just really can’t eat Glacé or Maraschino.
They’re nothing like the real thing, the darker the better!
Wow that first one looks really delish! I love how literally you took it Sylvia!Have a great day 🙂
Thanks, Lisa. Yes it was delicious. They all were. 🙂
This has made me seriously hungry Sylvia!
Haha Sorry, Adrian. 🙂
Oh, you BAD girl! Back to the gym with you 🙂 🙂
Yes Ma’am. Tomorrow morning, I promise. 🙂
Lol your so funny Sylvia.. I love those cherries, , I’m not much of a fruit eater, so I can understand your dilemma:) and I always give my pickles to my Hubby too:) your drink made me thirsty 🙂 have a great Sunday
Thanks, Kathy. The pickles make me cough. 😦
I guess you’d call that cherry-picking, Sylvia. 🙂 Not a fan of the maraschino cherries or the cherries in liquor covered with chocolate, but I love fresh cherries of the sweet sort and I’m a pickle fan for the most part as well.
Happy Sunday to you as well.
jaent
Hehe Yes, I’m not a very fussy person when it comes to food, but cherries are something I never eat.
That’s the pits!
Hehehe Very punny, Janet. 😀
Cherry tomatoes a terrific choice for the challenge. Not sure I’d sample the blue drink though, with or without cherry.
Thanks, Ruth. The drink was really delicious. 🙂 I think the blue was Curaçao liqueur.
