We’ve been having lots of rain here in Florida. The damp conditions seem to deter some of the wildlife from showing up in our backyard, but I was amused to see these two very different creatures standing out there together as if in silent protest.
Hope your weekend isn’t as wet as ours. Every cloud has a silver lining though, as hubby has decided to paint out the garage.

They’re quite a pair. I do believe they feel the same as us when it comes to rainy damp weather: Time to sleep.
Issy 😎
I think that even my goldfish get depressed when it’s grey and wet. 😱
Love this, haven’t seen this combo yet here. Great capture.
Thank you so much. 🙂
What a great view, Sylvia and I think they like you to join their showering 😀 We’re having a rainy weekend and thunder too🙀Pawkisses for a Sunny weekend to you 🙂 ❤
Thanks so much dear Binky. Hope you and Granny have a lovely weekend. 😘
Oh, wet and wet again here too. And less birds around. Your shot is great, gave me a chuckle 🙂 Have a beautiful day, Sylvia XXX
Yes, it’s just started to rain again here. The Grackles and Cardinals don’t seem to mind the wet, and Sammy squirrel is game in any weather. 😅😘
friends…..
Looks like it, and not just fair-weather friends. 😅
ha- amigos thru thick and thin…..
Beautiful and…lucky capture!
Beautiful and lucky capture……!
Thanks, Anna. 😘
Surely rain is needed too- you can always send some to California, who never have enough! 🙂
I wish that were possible, Ute. 😃
Good they find it so fine together. We had a subby weekend
We had a very soggy weekend. 😅
It looks like all hands on deck in case of flooding. The photo made me grin from ear to ear. Hoping things dry up soon and that the painting goes well!
Thanks, Sue. The garage is looking good, but the rain continues unabated.
We had our share of rain last night, massive thunder and lightening storms!
Yes, my mom-in-law said it woke her up. 🙂
Now that is a cool, unique shot!
Thanks, Donna. 🙂
What a great shot! Since the limpkin is a bit elusive, this is a great capture.
Thanks, LuAnn. It was a lucky shot. 🙂
how wonderful to capture them so perfectly like this Sylvia!
Thanks, Lisa. 🙂
They seem to be content! Wish we could get some rain here, It is extremely dry here!
Thanks, Aletta. I wish I could export some of our rain. 🙂
Would have been nice …. We had a bit of rain last night!
They look quite happy with each other’s company.
Yes, they do, Carol. A very odd couple of companions. )
Beautifully meditative
A very good description, Derrick. 🙂
Isn’t he lovely? Not much rain but too much wind for hot air balloons Ad xx
I’m counting on you to order some good weather for when we arrive in Cornwall in just a couple of weeks’ time. 🙂 xx
I hope you haven’t missed it, Ad. I’d better have a word with Jude for you. 🙂 🙂
I hope so too. 🙏🏻
They probably wanted a good shower after a long week of partying 😁 Winter is approaching here in Australia and looking like a wet week ahead 😑😂
Thanks for the smiles, Mabel. I love the idea of them partying the weekend away. 😀
Lovely photo of local wildlife. We have been enjoying a rare spell of hot and dry for almost three weeks! It started to rain again yesterday and today is very grey – but – I can get that pile of post holiday ironing done at last! 🙂
Haha…….a woman after my own heart. Ironing on a rainy day certainly has its merits. 😀
It’s starting to dry out here, even though some folks think it always rains in Oregon. Actually we have two seasons: wet and dry. I’m not quite so fond of dry. Very cute picture of your pair of rain worshipers! 😀
Thanks, Gunta. Still raining here. I think I prefer blue skies, although not with the intense heat.
It has been a wet weekend so far . . . and may remain so until Wednesday. Glad that you enjoyed some wildlife that didn’t mind the “wet.”
Thanks, Nancy. Well, it’s Thursday already, and the rain keeps on and on. The wildlife here seems to have given up. 😦
We’d be very happy to take some/ all of your rain… Lovely pic of this these two wet visitors
Thanks, Gerrie. I’d be more than happy to share our incessant rain with you. 🙂
Oh my gosh! That’s the best!
Thanks, Jessica. 🙂
Neat capture!
Thanks, Dan. 😃
In Denmark we’ve had the driest and hottest April and May in many years.
I wish I could send you some rain. 😃💧🌨
Great capture, Sylvia!
Thanks, Jill. 🙂
Great couple enduring…Have a great weekend you too! Here it is hot and dry, so I would be grateful if you sent some of your rain. It would be a win-win situation!
Thanks, Anne-Christine. Still raining here. I wish I could send you some. 🙂 xx
I wish too…wild fires over here, and we are not at all used to this kind of draught.
Now there’s an odd couple. 🙂 Happy weekend to you. 🙂
Thanks, Lynette. Yes, a very odd couple. 🙂
Something I wouldn’t see in my back yard. I heard there is a tropical system coming to Florida. Stay safe and hopefully dry.
Thanks, Kelly. Yes, I just read about the oncoming storm. We will stay indoors. 😀
Lovely capture, Sylvia!
Thanks, Sue. They looked how I feel about so much rain. 🙂
Glum…
I just put all the lights on. Can’t stand gloomy. 🙂
Especially not in almost-summer,eh?
Love their names especially…..
Haha……I always have to name my wild visitors. Even my goldfish have names. 🙂
Lots of wild life enduring the wet weather here in Florida. I’m done with it! 😊🌝
I hear you, Holly. One can definitely have too much of a good thing. 😯
Lol! For sure.
